How about hell and no water, no electricity, tripled car tax, gas lines (circa 1970's), socialized medicine, no prop 13, and $10 billion in new taxes?

Illegal aliens with driver's licenses and taxpayer funded college educations, gays with the same rights as married couples.

It's called "losing on principle".

And it's time Republicans stop doing this...

You wouldn't be talking about the Indian tribes would you? I'm sure you are. Don't be so coy.

Governor Wilson tried to keep the tribes in check fearing the political machine they would become, but Davis let them loose with Las Vegas style gaming and the money has come pouring in, and so has their political clout. Some estimates put the Indian gaming money at $5 billion, and not a dime to the state.

Other states get something. Why shouldn't California?

Thank you! Of course, I'm unable to watch it --- my television is under the control of a three-year-old watching Barney! :-)

Could be worse. Could be watching The Wiggles!

The Wiggles, without doubt, is the most annoying childrens show ever to be put on television.

Fruit Salad, Yummy Yummy my ass!

They would seek to cause discontent! I am very contented with Arnie and I trust him completely

Thank you Darrell, I shall support you in future contests!

Arnold might be a a socially liberal, fiscal conservative, but like it or not he is electable and it is a change in the right direction. No true conservative would stand a chance, as California is a very liberal state. Maybe he is not teh right candidate for your sensabilities, but if Californian's want to live in an overly taxed, socialist utopia, that's their choice.

It's called "losing on principle".

Check one of the below.
Davis (LD) "liberal Democrat"
Bustamonte (LD)
Arnold (LD)

Some win.

I'm still voting for McClintock, come hell or high water.

I like you, because you are loyal to your candidates, even when they are not popular; I remember you stood by Samuelian, a person who has been accused of driving around areas known for prostitution activities.

You also have done quite a bit of work on behalf of the Republican Party in the Central Valley of California, and that gives us a 100-year absolution in my view.

I hope you reconsider when you get into that voting booth, but I will always like you.

To cast doubt on the impact that Issa had on getting the recall on the ballot is to ignore reality.

With every day that passes, people are voting for McClintock with absentee ballots. If McClintock quits today, a large proportion of the @ 1 million absentee ballots already received, which may have gone to Arnold, will be nullified.

McClintock is already a spoiler, and has probably already cost the Republican vote total a couple of percentage points.

Since that time that poster and the McC folks have taken up the mantra of calling anyone who supports Arnold as a RINO and worse. IMO, any poster that would call Issa a RINO has an agenda at play and that agenda has been co-opted by other members of the McC fan club on here. Seems if you are not a McC supporter you cannot be a "true" Republican or a "principled" conservatiave so you must be a RINO.

That's why, unfortuantely, gotta break out the flamethrower and let and the self-rightous SOB's have it.

McClintock needs to take this development as a sign to drop out. Or the California GOP will continue to fail. McClintock and his supporters, need to understand that the reason the Dems have been thriving in CA for so long, is because Republicans have fought more with one another than Democrats there. If McClintock doesn't drop out one of three things will happen.

1.) Bustamante will win, McClintock will be finished
2.) The Recall will fail and Davis will remain, McClintock will be finished
3.) Schwarzenegger will win by a narrow margin, but will probably embrace McClintock.

It's time for McClintock and his supporters to do a reality check, in less than 2 weeks it has hardly likely that a candidate who has stalled at 12 to 14% will get ahead, while his major GOP competitor has continued to gain support.

Thanks for supporting my comment #55. From your link:

Bob Mulholland, special campaign adviser to the California Democratic Party, calls Costa "destructive" and "a kook." He also notes that the recall was languishing until U.S. Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Vista, put his money behind it.

"Costa had two months before Issa stepped in –- and (Costa) fell flat on his face," he said.

Even on your "ballot", McClintock doesn't rate a mention!

Issa's money allowed the recall to move ahead of schedule. No doubt about it. But it is possible that it could still have qualified later had he not funded it.

Hmmm.. I thought it was just plain old losing.

Second place in the recall and $3.80 will get you a Venti Carmel Macciato as Starbucks.
