The only poll that matters is election day. McClintock isn't running behind in ANY POLL THAT MATTERS.

John Engler, Jesse Ventura, Debbie Stabusall, Saxby Chambliss, Steve Stockman, and Sonny Perdue wern't supposed to win.

I have a suggestion - now that election day is nearing, why don't we let the California freepers work this stuff out? I think it's out of line for non-California freepers who aren't voting to be starting vanity threads on this subject.

If Tom drops out then we are left with no one who suppurts the Republican platform. How would that help?

This discussion/election comes down to two types of republicans. Those who put traditional republican principles, positions, and conservatism first vs. those who put the (r) first. For me, I want to be able to tell my son that I have always backed the candidates who stood for what is right. The question conservatives of principle should always ask themselves is "What would the Founding Fathers have done?" In this case I don't think anyone can doubt that they would have supported Tom and his positions and soundly rejected Arnold and his positions.

What good is a Republican governor if he is a Democrat?

Go ahead.

Go and support the abortion supporter.

Woman's right to choose, and all that good stuff that you stand for.

McClintock is running BEHIND Arnold and should DROP OUT for the good of the Republican party and for California...who cannot take any more liberal Governors!

Many Republicans think Arnold will be just another liberal Governor.

I watched the debate last night. It looked like a verbal fight among four teenagers with a lone adult looking on. You want the adult to drop out so the world can be run by one of the smug brats?

Thanks for the website address. I'm off to tell the adult to hang in there.

You're right, of course. Long, long overdue.

Hope you're bearing the boilerplate insults well.

Maybe it's time to ask Schwartenkennedy to drop out so McClintock can have a clear path to victory and voters can have a real choice on election day.

Why don't the socialy liberal Republicans of California offer a deal (or concessions) to the right. After all we have been doing this for a while. I think that this lapse in consensus building is Arnolds real drawback. A good one would be for the party to end all race based anythings that comes from government of any kind. This would end all of the friction that the rats use to gin up support and get elected.

Let's all vote for Bustamonte. That way we will have a sure win. For republicans, it's all about winning. For conservatives, it's all about principles.

I see you're from Virginia. How about letting the California Freepers be the ones to make suggestions about the California election?

IMO, Ahnuld is just a Democrat in Republican clothing. He supports nothing that is Conservative in nature and much that is Liberal.

Better to vote No on the recall and let Davis take the blame for California's troubles. Ahnuld can't fix any of the problems here, so if he's elected, people will blame the Republicans next year.

At least McClintock is true to his beliefs. Personally, I think we Californians should ask Ahnuld to step out of the race and vote for McClintock.

How about dealing with your own state's problems and let Californians deal with ours?

I think it's time for Arnold and Tom to Join Forces. Why have him drop out. Make a team of them.

If you elect Arnie, you'll need to correct that statement. Here, let me help:

"....so we can have a Republican Liberal Governor!"

Actually...
It would be a perfect time for ARNIE to drop out and throw in with McClintock forceing the debate to the right blowing all mannar of minds and bringing some unity and last but not least... time for the elephants to enter the circus tent... circuses don't need donkeys they need elephants...

Unless its all about the take at the gate, which of course it is...

Although a McClintock supporter, I was nonetheless impressed by Arnold's performance last night. I thought he did a real nice job.

The fact remains, however, that CA conservatives deserve an opportunity to vote for someone who will represent their views. Tom isn't taking votes away from Arnold, because Arnold has simply not earned them. It's just as true in the reverse.

I would advise Tom to stick in until the election - you never know what might happen. But I certainly understand your concern.
