It is time...ASK McClintock to DROP OUT of the race
McClintock website ^

Posted on 09/25/2003 10:40:28 AM PDT by Gopher Broke

McClintock is a great guy! I agree with him and if I could wave my magic wand, I would make him the Gov. of California...no questions asked.

Now, back to reality.

McClintock is running BEHIND Arnold and should DROP OUT for the good of the Republican party and for California...who cannot take any more liberal Governors!

Yes, he could stay in .... and after the election his supporters can say WE SURE SHOWED ARNOLD... as we watch Bustamonte sworn in to office.

Headline: STUPID PARTY STRIKES AGAIN

When Republicans unite, Republicans WIN. When Republicans are divided, democRATS win.

We can win this one....

My point really has nothing to do with abortion. This is a McClintock versus AS thread, and I was trying to illustrate the absurdity of turning down part of the pie in favor of getting none of the pie. I was speaking ironically, simply for the sake of stimulating thought.

So far as abortion is concerned, I'd be willing to compromise on anything that limits the practice. Better to compromise and save a few lives than to remain stiffnecked and save none at all. That doesn't mean I support abortion. But the idea is to save lives, not assuage feelings.

Similarly, that's why I believe McClintock should drop out of this race, and conservatives should support Arnold.

Yes, If I cant have Tom then let Bustabudget have it.
Bring it all down Man! Let Kallifornia go down the tubes
what a great example of Liberal govt. California as a 3rd world country, Spanish signs everywhere! Mecha police kicking all the Gringos out! traffic wrecks everywhere, and half the drivers have phony drivers licenses, tripple taxes
on everything, rampant crime and corruption...streets an inch thick with dirt, 1/2 half the people out of work and the other half barely scraping by. Viva Revolution! Viva
Bustabudget!....Yehaaa..aribba!!!!! Yes how sweet to see it in my lifetime....yes the more I think of it the better it sounds..Im voting for Tom mcClintock..I will not change my mind...I want California to go to the Democrats...They made this mess and they dont even think theres anything wrong!!!
can you immagine what they will do under Bustamonte? It will be far worse than Davis..The borders will be wide open...Drugs ,illegals, rapists drunken murderers, cars with no brakes! and no insurance, communication breakdown!
chaos...yes ironic justice for the Liberal big shots! Arianna's home broken into and ransacked!...and then there the terrorists!!! what a "Golden opportunity"!!! Come in to California through Mexico. no lines no waiting..go get a drivers license at the DMV..then on to the gun shop to pick out a nice Glock..and then pick up your one way tickets to New York in that big Boeing 747 with a full tank of gas!!!!
Welcome to Mexifornia!...Yeah Man! Burn baby Burn!!!!

P.S. This is not a joke and I'm not joking. Arnold will be just as bad as a Democrat. If you vote for Arnold. you will be throwing your vote away, because he wont win if McClintock stays in...So you better switch and get your stupid friends to switch to Tom, Because Toms not leaving and I'm not voting for anyone else. This is a Political game of "chicken" and I dont care if we crash into each other. Get with Tom or go down in Flames.

I know it will be painful for some of you, but somewhere, sometime it must be demonstrated once and for all what extreme liberal/communist governance will ultimately lead to......right here in River City.

Hell, no. Look what Davis has done in the last two weeks - tripling the car tax (illegally), free community college for illegals, drivers license for illegals - HELLO, AL QAEDA! Come on in! Sure, you sort of look Mexican - have a driver's license. I'm not willing to take that sort of security risk to the state and the rest of the country. This is not an academic, economic exercise. If Davis or Cruz leave the back and the front doors to CA open to anyone... everyone loses.

Didn't that remind you of Mondale saying that yes, he'd raise our taxes? I almost drove off the road when I heard that.

I nearly forgot that one. And as I now remember, the press was fawning over how principled and candid he was to say that.

Insanity.

Ask the one REAL Republican to drop out? If winning means so much to some Republicans, then it's time for them to re-register as Democrats.

Simon just endorsed Schwarzenegger!

Issa has endorsed Schwarzengegger!

Ueberothe is thinking about endorsing Schwarzenegger.

So...................................................

When will McClintock endorse Scharzenegger?

And he got *THREE* electoral votes! If you're going to play politics, for goodness sakes, at least play it smart.

So, if half as many abortions would be performed in Kalifornia on condition that YOU personally perform the procedures, would you be okay with that?

Absolutely not, and that has nothing to do with my point. Unless you're suggesting that my hypocrisy in the matter should lead me to the first option, which would be to ensure the loss of lives that could otherwise be saved.

You know, the pro-choice victories in this country didn't start with abortion-on-demand and partial-birth abortion. They started with heart-rending accounts of poor women in dire straits being forced into back-alley abortions and solemn assurances that abortion would never be used except in the most extreme cases. That was the skinny end of the wedge; and if the pro-abortion advocates had started with the fat end they would never have gotten their position off the ground. They were content to start small and work their way up, a little at a time. We should do the same.

We all need to know how low you all can go. Sorry, but I would have the same attitude if we had the problem in Texas. Many of us want to know for sure where the pain threshold is for the most extreme liberal who is not a politician. We have an opportunity to find out al la Caal-eeee-forn--eeee-aaaahhh. I don't have any confidence that Arnold can save you anyway.....Cruze will take things down about as fast as Gray....and if the recall fails, California might as well break off into the sea early......

happy voting.

On Monday, I would expect McClintock to announce that he is suspending campaigning and supporting Schwarzenegger, barring unforeseen events.

He should wait until the Weekend before the election to drop out and endorse Arnold. This will allow for sufficient time for the media to report it and too little time for the dems to figure out how to counter.

Remember, if Senators Feinstein or Boxer die in office or leave, the GOVERNOR appoints the Senate replacement. Would you rather that Senator be a Republican or Democrat???

I will take a liberal Republican over a Socialist Democrat any day.

My personal choice would be McClintock...but since he CANNOT win, we must UNITE behind Arnold.....

Let's not be the STUPID PARTY on this issue!!

You do realize that in California that registered Democrats comprise 45% of the electorate vs. 35% for the Pubs? What part of "You can't win in California by simply getting your own party's votes" isn't clear to you geniuses?

McClintock has no appeal to moderates or Reagan Democrats. Arnold is pulling in the majority of Conservatives and Republicans by 2 to 1 margins (over Tom the Pure), and has a good deal of support with both Moderates and Independents. So of course, your answer is for him to drop out, so Tom Tom can lose to Cruz by 15 points and we can have 3 more years of SB-60’s, SB-2’s and 11 billion dollars in more taxes.

Since you can’t seem to find the “Caps Lock” on your keyboard, it is easy to understand why you’re having trouble finding a logical or a coherent argument.

Do you want YOUR vote to count?

I was under the stupid impression that they are supposed to count all the ballots. But, oh, what you really mean is it only counts if your candidate wins.
