The Dateline program was all about the convict who said that Peterson had asked him about getting someone to steal Laci's car for insurance money, and when he got Scott two guys and heard Scott talking about kidnapping Laci he was out of there because he knew Scott meant more than kidnapping and he didn't want to hear any part of it.

There were some points that make you wonder if it did happen that these thugs killed Laci. Even if they did I think Scott could be held on a 1st degree murder charge anyway.

So you think there might be some truth to this story?

Trust me, if Scott got guys to kidnap and/or kill his wife--and we know what happened to her, no way can he say something like "gee, I just wanted her kidnapped, not killed"--then Scott is DEFINITELY eligible for the death penalty under the law. Even if Scott never dirtied his hands physically doing any of the dirty work.

As another poster said earlier, the fact that these others were engaged by Scott (if that IS a fact) would IN NO WAY get Scott off the hook.
