David Lee Roth cancelled the rest of his US Tour after injuring himself performing 'a very fast complicated 15th Century Samauri move' during a recent performace.
The former Van Halen frontman, who is known for his athleticism, was performing a gig in Philadelphia when he cracked his face with a long piece of wood.
'It was an incident on stage where he was doing a kung fu manouvre and he got hit with the staff that he uses,' Roth spokesman Todd Brodginski said.
The 47 year old singer needed 21 stitches on his face because of the accident in Philidelphia.
He has called off seven dates of the tour of clubs and theatres because of the injury. Two dates had been cancelled because of Hurrican Isabel.

Ouch - That'll leave a mark.
Hope he recovers, and learns not to whack himself in the head with a stick!

At least he didn't burn down the bar he was playing in, like other old 80's hair-bands do.

Now he knows why the Japanese left this one behind in the 15th century!

When he was younger (back in the 15th century) he could do that move
