I am ashamed that John Conyers is from Michigan. (To borrow from the Ditzy Chicks)

His statement was accompanied by an Australian news report of a British television special aired this week that quoted Bush administration officials in 2001 saying Iraq's Saddam Hussein was not a threat. "This report demonstrates that there are serious, unanswered questions about whether this administration has been straight with the American people," Conyers said. You mean the report by John Pilger that lifted two quotes by Colin Powell and Condi Rice out of context? It's amazing how the Dems are demanding a smoking gun from Bush on WMDs but will jump on any piece of two-bit leftist propaganda that suits their agenda.

I am ashamed that John Conyers is from the United States of America!

You mean a grossly obese, drunken, lazy, ignorant, womanizing, pathologically evil person like Teddy Kennedy could lie? ( Sarcasm)

I think Teddy Kennedy and John Conyers should take a long drive and work out their next attack on Bush together...

There was no imminent threat. Didn't the president say that if we waited until the threat was imminent, that it would be too late?

Didn't the president say that if we waited until the threat was imminent, that it would be too late? Now, now, don't let the facts get in the way of a good Dem rant...

They don't mean the right to question policy or the war - they mean the right to destroy the reputation of George Bush in the eyes of the public.
Instead they are showing how absolutely unworthy of power they are.
Here we have democrats all over the place that still cannot understand why we went to war, what is going on over there. They have the intelligence briefings, the reports yet they still cannot understand why we went to war.
Yet, I am an ordinary citizen and I understand - the threat of terrorists and the makers of WMD getting together can kill hundreds of thousands of those these groups hate. That happens to be Americans - not the French, not the Germans, not the Russians - Americans.
I also can understand that Saddam was totally in violation of sanctions he agreed to, was not allowing inspectors, was hiding from inspectors. What are we to do? Hope that Saddam is not developing WMD?
So, we haven't found them. That does not mean the danger was not there. The fact that we have a President willing to protect this country first is what I expect a President to do.
Never will I ever vote for a Democrat that believes in letting the U.N. (that also is anti-American) tell us when we can defend ourselves, that cannot understand a threat to me a citizen, that is incapable of defending this nation.

Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, said on Tuesday. "I don't think there should ever be a slur on another state when we're talking foreign policy." I'd start calling Dem Bills destined for failure as Bills that are DOA, just like passengers in Ted Kennedy's car.

"I think it's patriotic to ask those questions," said Sen. Patrick Leahy, D-Vt. Teddy didn't ask a question. He made an accusation. There is a big difference.
I can ask someone if he is gay, and there is nothing wrong with that.
IF I call him a queer, then he has the right to sue for slander.
I don't see what Kennedy did as different. He made accusations that he can't back up. HE says that certain provisions were specified in order for Turkey to get the money. This is a normal part of everyday world politics. We told Israel that we deduct so many bucks for every foot of fence they put up. IS THAT A BRIBE TOO? Why isn't Kennedy yelling about that?
WE ALL KNOW WHY. He is just a mouthpiece other Democrats with certain plans.

Conyers and Kennedy - Perfect Together. These two alone should be enough reason for a Dem to jump ship and come over to the right side of things.

"We ought to have the opportunity to have open, candid exchange of views ... without challenging the motives, patriotism or the very right of every senator to express," him or herself, said Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle, D-S.DFine...lets have an open, candid exchange of views regarding the dead girl found in his car when it was hauled out of the water a few decades ago.
