But wait...Arnold has actively participated?
Did logic fly out the window with principles when it comes to supporting Arnold?

I guarantee that if the vote is close but Arnold pulls it out the ACLU will file.
They can only do that if the vote is close - close enough to say that the 4 counties using punch card ballots could have made a difference.
I feel bad for my fellow Tom supporters, it will be hard to give it up with all the blood and sweat invested. It will be harder with the Arnold supporters lack of appreciation and continued attacks on Tom.

I'm pretty sure 68 is a DU plant.

Good point about the close race... it's an important factor in how the GOP should approach the last few weeks in the recall.
I hate to say it, but I don't see either Arnold or Tom supporters toning down the war yet, not while Tom is still in the race and one side has hope and the other still has fear of a GOP victory snatched away. Maybe events over the next few days will clarify the road ahead :-)

How can he drop out when he's the only conservative left in the race?
To: skeeter
No, he's saying that conservatives can't win elections and therefore shouldn't bother trying.
He does this because he hates conservatives.

If 68 is a DU plant, he sure stayed underground a long time (5 years). I'm no Arnold fan, but I've had it up to the eyebrows with folks on FR calling each other silly names. I support McC because of the issues. If he truly cannot win, then 1/5th a loaf would be better than none.
Davis & Busty are the enemy. How best to defeat them is open to debate, but shooting potential allies is just foolish!

On a "grassroots conservative" website?
Isn't that the definition of...
a troll?

It seems hard to debate your point.
He's run down every conservative issue and insulted every conservative in his purported "lightning rod" approach.
Having revealed the extent of liberalism supported by people like him, and you, I find it hard to justify any moderate's election the ones with (R)'s after their names are worse than the ones with (D)'s.

Check out DU. They HATE Schwarzenegger and love McClintock for "sticking to his principles."
Since their "principles" are the exact opposite of McClintock's, why do you think they're pushing him?
To: Mr Rogers
I need to see how the poster could be a potential ally in any arena. It hasn't been evident since I've noticed him.
1/5th of a loaf would be better than none.
I think Schwarzenegger is another Riordan...which is none of the loaf, but you can't complain because he's a Republican.

You give me pause.
However, Democrats of all stripes are famous for opening doors into their own foreheads.
They're banking on the probability that McClintock couldn't possibly win, but will split the Republican vote. They would decry Hell on Earth if he won.

I wasn't referring to another Freeper... it's useless to debate with you anyways, you don't even read the posts as you argue.

They would decry Hell on Earth if he won.Exactly.
Do you not think that they would be decrying him now if they thought he could win?
To: Brian Allen
<< Well, I hope McClintock does the right thing and bows out in the next few days ... >> I hope so, too.
Although, his future moves notwithstanding, his life as a California Republican is all but over.
Pity.

"He said that, Tom hates Pete Wilson's guts. This hatred is both personnal and political, and Pete Wilson is in charge of Arnold's campaign. (Pete Wilson has personally made sure that Tom gets no money from the state GOP.)"I caught that too. The feeling between them is mutual. This represents the worst of politics in any day, age or country.

Yes, I think they would be.
However, you gotta ask yourself...do you give anything they think credence?
I don't.

"No, Arnold isn't a compromise, he's a surrender."Only Busty or Greyout are surrender. Arnold is a compromise, because McClintock cannot get the votes at this time to win the election.
