These articles cover a good range of the Islamic studies explosion on American college campuses.

They provide a good review of how deeply Islam is infiltrating into higher education in the United States, who is funding them, using, them, and for what purposes.

Terrorism is no stranger here.

Our institutions of higher learning were hotbeds of socialist and communist propaganda groups during Viet Nam.

They have been catalysts for the causes of abortion and homosexuality in the 80's and 90's.

Now, they are opening wide their arms to the spread of Islam.

While college deans, faculty, and those funding higher education discourage affiliation with anything of Christian orientation, Islam is encouraged and flourishes on our campuses.

Why?

Might one take a contrary view of this "explosion"?

Just as there was an "explosion" of Russian/Soviet/Eastern European studies during the Cold War, so this newfound interest in the Middle East and Islam falls squarely into the realm of "know thy enemy".

While there is certain to be a lot of "Islam is a religion of peace" cant, the overall effect if going to be positive.

I put myself into the Daniel Pipes or Bernard Lewis spectrum of thought. The U.S. can do a lot to help set the framework for reform in the Middle East but it will be the moderates in the region that have to do the long term, serious heavy lifting.

The more Americans (and westerners in general) who have a sound grasp of the history, culture, language, and politics of our adversaries (and potential allies) the better.

Is it possible that just as groups such as the Weathermen, Black Panthers either knowingly or unwittingly staged their movements from college campuses during the 60's and 70's that Islamic extremists are doing the same thing now?

Look who funds the lion's share of the "studies" - Saudi Arabia.

Where were 11 of the 15 Muslims that attacked America on 9/11 from?

It would be interesting to see how many of them were here for college studies.

At any rate, our colleges are taking hundreds of millions in donations from (Saudi) interest groups bound and determined to indoctrinate suseptible college kids into believing Islam is a religion of moderation and peace.

Do you believe it is?

The Saudis, who provided the majority of the murderers of 09-11, are also providing the funds (via petro dollars) to build mosques and islamic centers-training camps accross America

The Saudis provide money for al Qaeda HAMAS Islamic Jiihad and for the Sunnis we are still fighting in Iraq...

Yet they are golden in America...untouchable...covered up for....aided and abedded....by our politicans who have taken their money and who are in bed with them....

CAIR and the other Wahhabi Lobby groups are spinning the truth night and day through their Madison Ave hires...

Joe, both you and I know this is true. So do a majority of anyone knowing anything about the spread of Islam in this country.

And we see it happening right before our very eyes - our polititians are being bought off just like they have been bought off from protecting our borders.

It's not good.

Radical Islam's 'plan'
to take over America

Arab-American author outlines secret
20-year strategy to undermine country

A refugee from the Muslim Middle East thinks he has discovered Islam's 20-point plan for conquering the United States by 2020 – a plan revealed in the latest issue of Joseph Farah's G2 Bulletin.

Anis Shorrosh, author of ''Islam Revealed'' and ''The True Furqan,'' is a Christian Arab-American who emigrated from Arab-controlled Jerusalem in January 1967.

''The following is my analysis of Islamic invasion of America, the agenda of Islamists and visible methods to take over America by the year 2020,'' Shorrosh says. ''Will Americans continue to sleep through this invasion as they did when we were attacked on 9/11?''

1. Terminate America's freedom of speech by replacing it with statewide and nationwide hate-crime bills.

2. Wage a war of words using black leaders like Louis Farrakhan, Rev. Jesse Jackson and other visible religious personalities who promote Islam as the religion of African-Americans while insisting Christianity is for whites only. What they fail to tell African-Americans is that it was Arab Muslims who captured them and sold them as slaves. In fact, the Arabic word for black and slave is the same, ''Abed.''

3. Engage the American public in dialogues, discussions, debates in colleges, universities, public libraries, radio, TV, churches and mosques on the virtues of Islam. Proclaim how it is historically another religion like Judaism and Christianity with the same monotheistic faith.

4. Nominate Muslim sympathizers to political office to bring about favorable legislation toward Islam and support potential sympathizers by block voting.

5. Take control of as much of Hollywood, the press, TV, radio and the Internet as possible by buying the related corporations or a controlling stock.

6. Yield to the fear of the imminent shut-off of the lifeblood of America – black gold. America’s economy depends on oil and 41 percent of it comes from the Middle East.

7. Yell ''foul, out-of-context, personal interpretation, hate crime, Zionist, un- American, inaccurate interpretation of the Quran'' anytime Islam is criticized or the Quran is analyzed in the public arena.

8. Encourage Muslims to penetrate the White House, specifically with Islamists who can articulate a marvelous and peaceful picture of Islam. Acquire government positions and get membership in local school boards. Train Muslims as medical doctors to dominate the medical field, research and pharmaceutical companies. (Ever notice how numerous Muslim doctors in America are, when their countries need them more desperately than America?) Take over the computer industry. Establish Middle Eastern restaurants throughout the U.S. to connect planners of Islamization in a discreet way.

9. Accelerate Islamic demographic growth via:

10. Reading, writing, arithmetic and research through the American educational system, mosques and student centers (now 1,500) should be sprinkled with dislike of Jews, evangelical Christians and democracy. There are currently 300 exclusively Muslim schools in the U.S. which teach loyalty to the Quran, not the U.S. Constitution. In January of 2002, Saudi Arabia’s Embassy in Washington mailed 4,500 packets of the Quran and videos promoting Islam to America's high schools – free of charge. Saudi Arabia would not allow the U.S. to reciprocate.

11. Provide very sizeable monetary Muslim grants to colleges and universities in America to establish ''Centers for Islamic studies'' with Muslim directors to promote Islam in higher-education institutions.

12. Let the entire world know through propaganda, speeches, seminars, local and national media that terrorists have hijacked Islam, when in truth, Islam hijacked the terrorists.

13. Appeal to the historically compassionate and sensitive Americans for sympathy and tolerance towards Muslims in America who are portrayed as mainly immigrants from oppressed countries.

14. Nullify America's sense of security by manipulating the intelligence community with misinformation. Periodically terrorize Americans with reports of impending attacks on bridges, tunnels, water supplies, airports, apartment buildings and malls.

15. Form riots and demonstrations in the prison system demanding Islamic Sharia as the way of life, not America's justice system.

16. Open numerous charities throughout the U.S., but use the funds to support Islamic terrorism with American dollars.

17. Raise interest in Islam on America's campuses by insisting freshman take at least one course on Islam.

18. Unify the numerous Muslim lobbies in Washington, mosques, Islamic student centers, educational organizations, magazines and papers by Internet and an annual convention to coordinate plans, propagate the faith and engender news in the media.

19. Send intimidating messages and messengers to the outspoken individuals who are critical of Islam and seek to eliminate them by hook or crook.

20. Applaud Muslims as loyal citizens of the U.S. by spotlighting their voting record as the highest percentage of all minority and ethic groups in America.

Shorrosh is a member of the Oxford Society of Scholars, has traveled in 76 countries, and is a lecturer and producer of TV documentaries. ''Islam Revealed'' is a bestseller now in its eighth printing. His forthcoming 10th book, from which the 20-point plan is abridged, is titled ''Islam: A Threat or a Challenge.''

''The True Furqan'' is also available for viewing on Islam-Exposed.org. Shorrosh's new website is Focusing-on-Islam.com.

Ewwwwweee! Here's a list of articles to print out and read while you're sitting on the can in the morning! :-D

"...Why?"

While waiting for my copy of "Onward Muslim Soldiers" and "Beyond Iraq" to be delivered, I am finally able to get to Ann Coulter's "Treason." In a nutshell, impose the efforts of Communist Russia and the Democrats, Liberals, and other assorted neo-Leftists she details during the Cold War onto today's American and geo-political scenario and I believe you'll have a pretty good grasp of "Why?"

Due to our own, either apathy or naivete, we have simply exchanged the read flag of Communism for the green flag of Islam, and they are penetrating through our sympathetic institutes of "higher learning," the university and college campuses, like the Communists did during the cold war. I'm only halfway through but I know she addresses Islam/militant Islam, and I have no doubts her conclusions will be the same, including Democrat complicity.

It's also one of the main reasons Daniel Pipes (another Dem target) initiated the "Campus Watch" program.

As an aside, I think the only reason NY Dem Chuckie Shumer's "assertive" stance on terrorism is simply because he represents the state that, thus far, has the biggest body count and hole in the ground because of Islamic terrorism. If that were not so, no doubt he and Hillary would be more vocal in attacking and undermining President Bush and this nation's war on Islamic terrorism, like their cohort Kennedy.

Make sure you read Ann's book. I'm sure the more articulate FReepers can expand further on this (ya' smarties).

If you know that, and I know that, then why don't 95% of the people in New York State know that?

Great post - thanks!

Just picked up Anne's book - gonna read it next week.

My alma mater BYU recently received a federal grant to expand their Middle Eastern studies dept (which includes Jewish and Hebrew studies.) I know a couple of conservative students who are getting their degress in ME studies, I know someone else who has his Master's degree in ME Studies. Yes, there are many ME Studies professors who are waay over the line (Edward Said being the most prominent.) But we still need to study Islam and Arabic and Middle Eastern history to figure out how to turn the tide. The United States intelligence agencies are begging for Arabic linguists so that they can help decipher huge amounts of satellite intercepts. Middle Eastern studies used in the right hands by the right people will hopefully bring a better resolution to the conflict that rages in the Middle East.

You can thank Mr. Daniel Pipes.

Google search on him and find out more.

(Note: Islamic terrorists loathe this man for his stand against exposing of their dastardly deeds.)

Excellent point. Studying it here is much safer than studying it "over there."

But, there is a major difference between studying it and using it as a catalyst to breed and spread Islamic hatred and terror.

Case in point: The federally-funded efforts to bend over backwards in recruiting, funding, and sponsering Islamic Al Qaeda sympathisizers, supporters and terrorists. AKA Islamic (chap.) Yee and many others sympathetic to his cause.
