...while thousands of Americans have been deprived of holidaying in their favorite destination.Ahhhhh....Ummmmmm.....Americans can vacation any d@mn place they want to. They just don't want to vacation in France at this time. Can't see how American's are being deprived...just another case of free choice. Get over yourself France. Same goes for your President.

This time of year it's really nice to toodle around the countryside in Tuscany's wine country. What am I doing sitting in this office . . .

''We were on their side when they were attacked,'' notes an editorialist on the state-owned radio France Inter. ''They must understand that we cannot be on their side when they are attacking others.'' The motto of cowards.

Very true, however unfortunately the only time I was in Venice, it smelled like...well...merde! Sewage plant problem. Oh well.

If they have no American customers, let them serve Baathist customers.

LOL! The Italians do take a casual attitude about maintenance and cleaning. If you want a spic and span country to visit, try Switzerland.

I might be visiting Normandy in December.I'm a WWII nut and I haven't been there since 2000.I'm making the"Final/Final"December crossing on QE2 and might opt to spend a week prior to sailing in Normandy. The "Normans"don't consider themselves "French"anyway!!!

Why would they care about a few thousand dead elderly people? They don't bring in millions of euros in tourism.
The Frenchies are motivated by money above all else, even if it means overtly supporting a ruthless dictator.

The term 'gutless wonder' comes to mind when thinking of the French. Rather mild compared to what comes to my mind when thinking of the Germans.

Word on visiting Italy incoming! I just got back from a (very) long car trip from Sweden, through Poland, Austria and Slovenia to the north of Italy. As we crossed the border into Italy, the Italian soldiers saw my passport and started whooping, and yelled 'WE LOVE AMERICA!!! WE SALUTE BUSH!!!' It was awesome, and really set the mood for the rest of the trip! I love love loved Italy!
