Cynthia A. McKinney, the Georgia Democrat who was voted out of Congress last year, is being considered as part of a Green Party presidential ticket next year.
Miss McKinney, who declared that President Bush knew in advance about the September 11 attacks, was lauded on a Web site, votemckinney.org, which was urging her to run at the top of the Green Party ticket.

Maybe I've done too much hiring, coaching, and firing to get beyond the fact that this person is just not qualified. I hope she spends a lot of her money on the candidacy. I hope a lot of her fellow dim-bulbs do likewise...

I hope this happens. It might split off some black support from the Democrats. Just a few percentage points could make a huge difference.

The site, which is run via an untraceable server, states as its reason for being: "This site is meant to be a focus of the efforts to draft Cynthia McKinney for Green Party Presidential candidate." Sounds like a challange to some FReepers!

Sounds like a challange to some FReepers! We apparently had the same thought at the same time.
However, It wasn't much of a challenge.

This is great! I'm going to go help the effort to draft Cynthia.
Should syphon off plenty of votes from the dems :)

Miss McKinney, who declared that President Bush knew in advance about the September 11 attacks The position of defending McKinney is not a position I like, but she never said that Bush knew in advance. What she said was that an investigation may show that he did.
Does she personally believe he knew in advance? Most likely. But she didn't come right out and say it.

Miss McKinney is a visiting professor at Cornell University. She could not be reached for comment, said a staffer at the Ithaca, N.Y., school.Long-time followers of events in the City of Evil have known that the Greens were courting McKinney. The local paper even bragged about the fact that Ithaca might be "home" to a Green Party Presidential Candidate.
To: .cnI redruM
'In an interview with the Atlanta newspaper earlier this month, Miss McKinney, 48, refused to discuss her political future but said, "I do have some big decisions to make, and I recognize that whatever I decide to do impacts a lot of people."'
That's for sure - they could hurt themselves when they fall on the floor laughing.
To: Phantom Lord
So she's a coward rather than a traitor. That's a relief.

"An investigation may show that you beat your wife."
That's just a weasely way of slagging someone while leaving enough room to backpeddle. The insinuation is clear.
