Bizarre new twist in Laci Peterson murder investigation
An inmate has come forward with accusations of a kidnapping plot that puts a new slant on the Laci Peterson murder investigation. ABC13 Eyewitness News
(9/22/03 - HOUSTON) A bizzare twist has emerged in the Laci Peterson murder case.
A prison inmate named Cory Carroll says he and two other members of a neo-Nazi gang allegedly spoke with Scott Peterson about kidnapping his wife.
Carroll says he met Peterson at a strip club and arranged a second meeting with two gang members known as "Dirty" and "Skeeter."
Caroll's attorney says he has passed a lie detector test. Police are questioning Caroll about the incident in the ongoining investigation. (Copyright © 2003, KTRK-TV)

Lie detector tests are totally meaningless. They are only effective to the extent that people think they are, and therefore often confess after being told that they failed a lie detector test.

You have to be very careful in assigning credibility to in to inmates! I find this "twist" highly questionable.

It could be true, but I too would reserve judgment. Inmates are sometimes happy to cooperate in return for earlier paroles or other favorable treatment.

Believe it or not, a lot of evidence in todays criminal courts are based on current inmate or past criminals testimony.

Looks like Scott Peterson story is falling apart. They are going to nail him this time. To accept the Arian-Nazi story the prosecution has to throw out their current thoery of the case and accept that Lacy was not killed on the night of 12/23-12/24 by Scott.

To accept the Arian-Nazi story the prosecution has to throw out their current thoery of the case and accept that Lacy was not killed on the night of 12/23-12/24 by Scott. I don't think so. It sounds as if Scott had discussed a possible kidnapping plot with these guys, but then finally went ahead and personally killed his wife himself on the night of 12/23,24. This new development doesn't change anything other than adding "proof" that Scott wanted his wife gone and was willing to use violence to do it.

It sounds as if Scott had discussed a possible kidnapping plot with these guys, but then finally went ahead and personally killed his wife himself on the night of 12/23,24. It sounds to me that these cupcakes knew about the Insurance policy against Lacy's life and once dealt in weren't about to be dealt out. The Defense could argue that the those guys came in and took Lacy while she was jogging (with or without Scotts prior knowledge) and killed and disposed of her body at a later time.
This theory solves some of the problems of the prosecutions current theory.
