The New York Times' Frank Rich continues his assault on Mel Gibson and The Passion.
The original article and Newsmax's take are below. Hollywood-Hero will continue to monitor the vicious attacks this film has generated within the elite media and certain organizations that insist Mr. Gibson is an anti-Semite and his film, anti-Semitic.
Hollywood-Hero maintains that there are some very powerful people in this industry and in academia, who will continue to oppose this film and what it purports to represent. Christian films have historically had a difficult time getting produced in Hollywood, and the all out assault against this film, make no mistake about it, is also an assault on our values, our history, and to further the continued secularization of this country. The Pledge of Allegiance can't include Under God, The Ten Commandments must be removed from public view, and no attempt to film Christ's Passion can be allowed to get to our movie screens.
We've entered a time in our national discourse where "In God We Trust" on our money, swearing on a bible in our courtrooms, and prayers and chaplains in Congress, among other traditions, may soon be under similar attack.
Our country was founded and formed from our Judeo-Christian roots. Our calendar, which puts us at the year 2003, is based, on, of course, the birth of Christ. Where does it all end? We welcome those to our country of all religious beliefs or of no religious beliefs. But when did the tide turn from freedom to practice one's religion to the abolition of all religion?
Help us fight back and to preserve our history as one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all.

Christ was Jewish. A very rightous Jew, I might add. To this day many bow down to honor him.
The ROMANS crusified him. If one watches the movie, they'll see what extreme kooks the facist lefties really are. They hate Israel.

The movie glorifies a "J-o-o", and shows his sacrifice for his fellow man and the God of Abraham, the Great I Am.
The left doesn't want a "J-o-o" to be glorified. They're anti-Israel.

The more I know and learn of Jesus, the MORE I love the Jewish people. I think my love for the Jewish people is deep and unchangable. The scriptures say that God told Abraham that he would bless the WHOLE earth thru his seed. He has blessed me. When some one has done great kindness to me or my family I want to say thank you, and not only with words. To all the descendents of Abraham, I have been blessed by your family, and I will ALWAYS be grateful for that. (An aside story here, along time ago when I was very young, my dad was building an addition on our house. He was on the roof, and someone came up the ladder. It was a neighbor from down the street. He had a hammer in his hand. He said he didn't know much about building, but what do whatever was needed. More than 30 years later I was looking to buy a new TV. My dad told me the story of the helping neighbor, and said the guy had a small store selling TVs. I bought a TV from the man).
I am reminded of all the things Jesus said that destroy arguments of anti-semitism, like: "Salvation of of the Jews." He also asked for forgiveness to those who crucified Him. So no one can use that excuse for anti-semitism. But the real fact of His crucifiction is that I am responsible for His death. Anyone who knows Him, knows that they too are responsible. He has forgiven us, AND those who were present at that time in history.
And I think one of the best arguments is what he said in the Garden of Gethsemene (sp?). When they came for Him, his disciple Peter drew a sword and cut off one of the ears of those who came. Jesus took the ear and place it back on the man, and healed it. He told Peter that those who take up the sword will die by the sword. (I think this a good argument against the guy who killed the abortion doctor as well.)
Jesus said our battles are spiritual, not with flesh and blood. What is the greatest weapon we have then, LOVE. We can fight by bleeding for those who hate us, not by making them bleed. (I'm not talking about things like terroroism and war. God ordained nations to use the sword to mete out justice, and I think the US and Israel would be turning their back on God if they did not respond to terrorism with force. It is how the innocent are to be protected).
In the Holocaust, the real help for the Jews came from true Christian who hid them and helped them. Those who perputrated the Holocaust claimed to be Christians, but nothing could be furthur from the truth. A look at Naziism reaveals that it was very occultish, and had deep ties into Shamanism, a New Age type belief that close to Hinduism. The great pacifist Ghandi siad that the Jews could do a great service by commiting collective suicide.
The world is against the Jews. Only that could explain what we see in the world today. An Islamic suicide bomber kills innocent Jewish children and women, and the liberlas of the world celebrate. Still the Jewish people are willing to take organ donations from those Israelis killed, and transplant them into Arabs to save their lives! This is what the Bible said would happen. The day would come when truth would be called a lie, and a lie the truth.
To my Jewish friends. I envy you. I envy you beacuse you have been chosen by God to be special. The result is the whole world hates you. But it is better to be loved of God, that to have only man's favor. The prophets say that when you seek God with your whole heart you will find Him. Only God can save Israel as the whole world turns against her. Moses said it best when he said to God that God's presence is what made Israel different. Of all the nations and gods, their God was the only one that come and dwell among them, and fight for them. I pray that all of Israel will call out and seek God with their whole heart.
