A transsexual from McKeesport who was injured in a botched castration said Saturday that desperation to live a normal life played a major role in undergoing the procedure.

"I've been Cathy all my life. This is my identity," the victim said yesterday afternoon. "I just wanted to become completely what I am."

And "Cathy" wants a what? To stop this guy from gelding other idiots, as if it's a bad thing to thin out the gene pool? His wedding tackle stitched back on? It's not like "Cathy" was unaware of the intent he hired the guy for.

You can bet the house that "Cathy" has been trolling the Web for months, looking for someone willing to do this. Isn't Reality a bitch?

So, Kathy, maybe the guy felt like a doctor all his life and was just trying to be completely himself. I should think that Kathy would be very sympathetic to other people's delusions.

What office does one contact to legally change gender?

None, as far as I know. In fact, I don't think changing gender is even possible, unless you call castration and mutilation a gender change.

Hmmm, it involved alcohol and a procedure in the "doctors" dining room? I think says it all.

Lenhart had the victim take several over-the-counter pain medications and asked Watson to drink alcohol to help curb the pain. The procedure took place in the dining room of Watson's home.

Well, on the bright side, Watson saved about $10,200 and didn't get a headache from the anesthesia.

If someone has a bizarre desire to amputate his limb, psychiatrists have no problem telling him he needs treatment. But if he wants to chop off something else, psychiatrists treat the person as normal. Why?

I believe that in order for a sex change to proceed, the person must first be diagnosed with a mental disorder.

Actually, the transsexual is diagnosed with gender identity disorder (or gender dysphoria) before the operation. But someone who claims they have a strong need for amputation of a limb is just diagnosed with a disorder, not given an operation to amputate the limb. So why the difference in treatment?

No, some liberal will get ahold of this and demand that government provide free sex change operations so - horrors - this does not ever happen again to our next special interest group - victims of sexual identity.

Oh, just wait a minute or two. That too will change to accommodate the newest chic disorder.

Why bother with a castration? Hasn't s/he heard of the new fad of being a "metrosexual"? He can feel, act, and look just like a woman without having to actually become one.
