Bush Denounced as 'Evil F---' at Kerry Fundraiser

President Bush was denounced as an 'evil f---' at a fundraiser this week for Democratic presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry.
The event, held at Manhattan's Intrepid's Sea-Air-Space Museum Thursday night, featured a vulgarity laced performance by techno-rocker Moby, who invited Kerry onstage for a sing-along tribute to punk rock godfather Lou Reed.
As the duo perfomed Reed's classic "Walk on the Wild Side," Kerry "froze," according to the New York Daily News, when Moby reached one particularly obscene portion of the song.
Then, after the song ended, Moby denounced Bush to the crowd of Kerry-backers as "an evil f---," the News said.
It's not clear whether Sen. Kerry was still onstage when the techno-rocker used the obscenity in reference to Bush - or whether the one-time Democratic fronrunner even heard the outburst.
Though the incident reportedly took place four days ago, Sen. Kerry has had no comment on Moby's use of the "F"-word in reference to the President of the United States.

Thanks for the all too uncommon rational response. Right, when Sen Kerry says something like that, which he would not do, that's when he deserves roasting.

After the Dems turned Wellstone's memorial service into a campaign rally, nothing surprises me.

If that's Moby, I'd like him to come here and say that.
What a dweeb...

I had to wait 37 posts for someone to state the obvious: That argument would carry more weight if the "pottymouthed" musician in question haden't been hired to flap his mouth for KERRY'S fundraiser. As for the "Bush is a f&&#%", Kerry will never comment on it. However, he'll hire Moby again, and that is all the comment that is needed. Moby's show is Kerry's show when Kerry hires him. Especially when he gets onstage with him. There is such a thing as tacit approval, and that is the issue here.
This speaks to Kerry's judgment, or lack thereof. Kerry could possibly have distanced himself by claiming his supporters hired Moby... he had nothing to do with it, knew nothing about it. But, by joining Moby onstage, he gave tacit approval, regardless of whether he knew what Moby was capable of singing or saying. If not tacit approval, Kerry clearly illustrated that he was too lazy or dumb to do advance work on Moby, or consider the consequences of sharing the stage with an "unknown quantity."

Exactly.
The self-imposed emasculation of the press when it comes to Democrats is also why the Clintons survive to this day.
It's sickening.

I agree with you post.

I saw Moby play at a Weenie Roast concert, along with most of the big names from Alternative Music. He's a putz, certainly, but nowhere near the biggest idiot in the lot. The day was chock-full of Bush-bashing rants and socialist blather, all punctuated with the F word, raised fists and the finger.

This is the music I prefer--I've just always been drawn to the music involved, but I have denied myself access to it for a long time because of this very problem in "alternative music"(which is a laughable title really since it's incredibly mainstream anymore. It's a name that should have been dropped in the mid-90's, if not sooner.

Why does Bush seem to be alienated his base now, as the Democrats become more brazen in their attempts to discredit and destroy him? Without a happy base, 5 million conservatives could sit out the 2004 presidential election, and Bush can therefore return to tiny Crawford, TX.

John Kerry not only has along face but a long memory. He remembers very well how the left love to be entertained.
Remember Bill Clinton and his saxophone on the late show....

This is the guy who got the crap beat out of him by some Eminem fans a few years back after he had dissed Eminem on stage. The incident was caught on videotape. Moby baby folded like a cupcake.
All mouth and no b****.

Well .. the democrats have taken the Hill and Bill hatred to a new level.
This will cost them - BIG TIME!
And .. if they don't stop it - there will be a wholesale slaughter of the democrat party in 2004.

Betcha a dollar that Kerry has absolutely no idea who Moby is. An interesting fact about Moby is that he considers himself a born again Christian.
