Wrong. Voting for Arnold the liberal is a foolish decision to make and shows poor political judgment.
Arnold does nothing to advance the conservative agenda and the GOP party platform either. Arnold's election will only damage the conservative credibility of the California GOP.

what is this, 20 questions?
Did you help Rich Sybert tear down Tony Strickland's signs when he ran? Wouldn't surprise me in the least.

And, of course, FR is the home of primarily hard core conservative activists, where support for Tom OUGHT TO BE close to one hundred percent.Yes, it's a "hard core conservative activist" site. Which of course makes it the perfect place for middle-of-the-road liberal Republicans (Arnold supporters) to come and display their utter contempt for conservativism and insult the people whose support they so desperately need.
But, hey, don't let me interfere with the formula for success. You folks have done a bang-up job with your state up to this point, I'll just sit back and watch and learn.
To: Reagan Man
When y'all consider the pile of poison pills that the liberals in California just passed and Davis signed, you may want to re-think even having anybody with an "R" next to their name in the Governor's chair. California's legislature signed the death warrant already - do y'all really want to drag the republicans down with the state budget?
The time to put an "R" in the drivers' seat may not be here yet.

Cute, but it destroys your point when you resort to lies and half-truths. If you HAD a point, then posting Arnold's actual words would have been sufficient to support it, but since you didn't, you couldn't.
However, it does seem that you are woefully misinformed about Arnold's positions on the issues, so, go here to get better informed.

Did you help Rich Sybert tear down Tony Strickland's signs when he ran? I was trying to remember who was involved in that affair - couldn't recall if McC was the target. Does that mean I owe you $5 or did this come up at one of your McC support group meetings out there in Lodi? (Is it true that they serve Velveeta in the deli section?)

Does that mean I owe you $5 or did this come up at one of your McC support group meetings out there in Lodi? (Is it true that they serve Velveeta in the deli section?)Rich Sybert was a RINO (moved to Ventura from the Valley) who argued that Strickland was too conservative to be elected. When polls showed that Republican voters did not agree, he began tearing down Strickland's signs in typical enraged RINO fashion.
Yes, Ventura County will eventually be RINOized courtesy of the Morrison/North Ranch Limosuine Liberals... but not in time to defeat McClintock in the '04 primary...

Come on, McClintock agreeing with every Davis decision Whoops! I thought you were referring to Bustamante as "first mate" (i.e., Lt. Gov.)

Whoops! I thought you were referring to Bustamante as "first mate" (i.e., Lt. Gov.) Woops, I see your point now. No, I meant perhaps some more minor officer on deck. Second mate? lower?

Ventura County will eventually be RINOized The real threat ain't your moderate Repubs - it's the hard core militants organizing farm workers and other illegals to give them the muscle necessary to control county politics. The sooner Ventura urbanizes, the sooner this threat will be neutralized by Rinos moving from the Valley.

Are you seriously saying that most Freepers support Ahnold even though all FR polls show the opposite?
Are you that much in denial of the fact that most Freepers do NOT support Ahnold? No, I am saying that the level of support for A.S. on FR is of little or no consequence as regards this election. I have never stated, nor would I presume to state what the people on F.R. think, but I will say that an FR online poll does not necessarily indicate the sentiments of FR as a whole. IMLHO there is nothing that can be assumed nor proven by an online poll anywhere, even here, except the sentiments of those who choose to participate in said poll.

As stated, most of the polls survey about 1000 people. To extrapolate that to 100,000 people's behavior begs credibility. To then base your conclusion on such is even a further stretch. Polling is a proven statistical science, and as a general statement polls tend to be accurate well within the margin of error. Yes, of course there are exceptions so don't pepper me with examples of inaccurate polls. Given the number of credible organizations polling this race, and the general agreement of those polls, yes, I have faith in most of the polls avaiable (LA Times is of course excluded, note I said 'credible' organizations).
People, as a rule, tend to believe polls with which they agree, and tend to dismiss or attack polls with which they disagree. The fact remains that a properly conducted poll, and polling body of 1000 is actually significant, is seldom wrong. When you have 6 major polls within a 2 week period all agreeing within the margin of error, to discount such polls is to be in denial of reality.

So when is Arnold going to offer McClintock something worth dropping out for? Like the right to propose and veto certain gubernatorial appointments? Like judges? Certainly you are not suggesting that A.S. should offer McC a political bribe??
McC has made himself a name where he was previously an unknown. He is now the most recognizable elected (R) in the state of CA. That is, in and of itself, significant. What that makes him is the best possible candidate to take down Boxer in '04. Most CA voters are rather tired of her, her poll numbers are pathetic - in short she is in deep trouble. McC could move from the CA Senate, a minority with little power, to the US Senate, where he will be the (R) representing the largest constituency, a position of significant influence even for a freshman. His idealism will make him more effective, and give him an opportunity to grow support in CA that a governorship hammerlocked with a (D) assembly cannot provide.

Thank you for that citation. I took that statement, when it was made, to be part and parcel of the previous line regarding special interests. I see how you could and do read it otherwise and it certainly does beg an explanation. Point well made!

Indeed, I am suggesting a political "bribe".
For example, why doesn't Arnold, and why don't his backers, offer some public statement of support for a McClintock Senate run, then? They could even pledge advance campaign contributions.
