With a brand of racing that is as intimate as it is intense, there's no wonder why people continue to flock to "The Monster Mile." Dover, with seating for more than 140,000, is one of the most popular race destinations in the Northeast and hosts some of the biggest crowds to see a sporting event between New York and North Carolina.
This thread is dedicated to our Armed Forces members and their families worldwide and to the victims of Hurricane Isabel.

'Tis the way to cook it.
Nemechek into the wall with a fire. Caution #2 out, and Todd Bodine will hop onto the lead lap.

Pit road closed an extra lap to sort out the field. Top 20 cars coming in single-file.

Restart should be interesting since the lapped cars are not going to give up their spot too easily.
Lap 92 (still under caution because Front Row Joe knocked down the wall literally):

The law of unintended consequences. If and when they get that wall fixed, I expect it to be tested immediately.

That explains things; Craven caught a lot of the Nemechek accident and has pitted 6 times (knocking Bodine up to 20th). I would've thought they would have sent Bodine up with 1 to go instead of who-knows-how-many to go.

That is what worries me about this new rule! This is just going to cause more bad wrecks. IMHO. lol
To: countrydummy
They ought to adapt the "local yellow" concept from the road courses; let the guys race to the line until and unless they hit the area around the wreck.
The other "unintended" consequence (in my conspiratorial mind) will be an increase in mysterious "debris" cautions later in the race when top teams find themselves just over a lap down.

Hot damn; guess who would stand to get their lap back if there's a quick caution once the race goes green again; Steve Park (with Mongo right behind). I guarantee this will go yellow again within 15 seconds of going .

I agree, I know what you mean. I don't like this thing at all!

What is the rule if the yellow falls on the 21st car. Do the 20 front cars race to the flagman...

Had several guys pit again during this lingering 30-minute caution (14th on back). Bodine wil go back to the tail end of the lead-lap line (with Craven behind because he entered a closed pit).
Green, green, green. CRANK IT UP!!!!

Rule is the second the lights come on, the racing stops (doesn't matter who the yellow is first displayed for or where the leader is).
Mongo around Park for the 1-lap-behind race.

Kenseth's luck may have just run out; he's 21st (the last car on the lead lap). Meanwhile, Tony the Tiger got by Jr for 5th and Harvick is still dominating the race.
