Thousands suffered while we were messing about with France and Russia and Germany and the UN. Every one of them knew what was going on there, but France and the UN were making millions administering the food for oil program. We cannot, I know, remake the world, nor do I believe we should. We cannot stamp out evil, I know. But this time we were morally right and our economic and strategic interests were involved. I submit that just because we can't do everything doesn't mean that we should do nothing.

A very powerful testimony about the country our troops are liberating from a monster.

If you want on or off my PRO-Coalition ping list, please Freepmail me. Warning: it is a high volume ping list on good days. (Most days are good days).

What happnened in Iraq was a crime of epic proportions. Not because of the war...but because of stories like this that never got told to the world public. If Iraq would've had half the coverage...and even half the truths, of Kosovo, this war may not have even been necessary. The media "could've" created enough outrage by exposing the true brutallity of this regime that Saddam would've been isolated, internationally. And if war did come, that exposure should've been enough to sway even the most cynical, making an international coaltion a given.

Instead, we had journalists covering the crimes of one of this centuries most barbaric regimes so they could gain access. After reading about this little girl, the media should be ashamed of themselves...but instead of even retroactively covering this brutallity, they ignore it and still try to justify their opposition to this war and this criminal. When this is over, someone has to answer for the media's participation in protecting a butcher and literally obstructing a war to rid the world of his barbarism. From the BBC's lies, to CNN's lies, these individuals helped enable and empower, one of the worst creatures on this planet. I am truly disgusted.

The thing is, the truth IS starting to get out. The media is going to suffer badly as a result. You can't keep the truth under a barrel, it starts by seeping out that comes out in a flood. People who have been there are coming home and talking about it, the troops who are being rotated are home and talking about it, the media tries to ignore it, but the truth is getting out.

Either the media begins to tell the truth or it will suffer irrepairable damage.
