Too bad they haven't asked the Indian Gaming Folks for a loan, or did they? It would be a real investment in California plus the name brand couldn't be a better fit.

IIRC, several Indian groups tried unsuccessfully to block use of the "Indian" name via Trademark.

You are most correct about the "Indian" brand name.
You gonna ride your motorcycle by the Rally in downtown San Josie today? :-)

Let me know if he has a liquidation sale. My wife finally said I could get a motorcycle after I go back to work. It took 20 years to get her to say it, altho', she says she gets a new car first. ;-)
Marriage is not like politics.. no compromising involved at all, just cold hard capitulation. Kind of like what FRist and the GOPers are doing in the US Senate on certain judicial selections.

Do you live near San Diego? I'm shocked. This guy owns a bunch of Car dealerships, and he JUST opened, I mean less than two weeks ago, these Indian Dealerships.

But, why did they put the plant in California in the first place? California is anti-business and the costs are so much higher. Texas would have been much better but Nevada or Utah would also have been better than the ultra-left coast.

I was down around your area yesterday with a bunch of Blue Knights (retired Hillsboro cops) and Sunday Morning Breakfast Clubbers.
But I peeled off from the group when they went to lunch in 'Tola and I went to Davenport instead. BEAUTIFUL day for a ride.

The weather is absolutely glorious this weekend. A little on the hot side, but I love the sunshine.
Yeah, that drive to Davenport is gorgeous.

Yup, the weather loks mighty fone, and I agree, that drive is great.
My father-in-law used to almost live at Martin Beach so I have driven that way a number of times over the years.
fine

If Indian manages to hang in there, he should be in okay shape, and there's a better than fair chance that there'll be a lot of folks buying one while they've still got the chance. And if not, he's got his locations established and ought to be able to transition into a dealership for other bikes without too much fuss.
Indian had all their eggs in one basket and put their trust in British investment back in the early '50s and it drove them under. Now, having repeated some of the same marketing blunders that were made back then, the same thing stands a fair chance of repeating itself. Why am I not surprised?
