PECO said late Friday afternoon that 305,000 customers are still without power. Most of them are in Chester and Delaware counties. More than 140,000 people were out of power in Chester County alone. Repair crews will be working through the weekend.

Remember those repair crews in your prayers. They are leaving their families at home, not knowing when they will return. They work hard in dangerous conditions.

Yes, I will. I thought about them a lot today as I was sitting outside not getting anything done. I was thinking that I am glad I don't have their job. I can't imagine hanging out working on high voltage with wind, rain and trees falling everywhere. I love those people!!!

Yes, that was one of the sadder parts of the storm. A Carteret-Craven Electric guy of 29 years was electrocuted in Newport while making repairs during the storm. These guys and their families give a lot that many take for granted when they turn on the switch.

The electric repair people have been a focus of our prayer. We lost one in NC and I am still hurting from that.
They often have young families and it matters.

Many more are and will remain at risk for weeks. Lots of electricity off in Northern VA, DC and MD (the larger Metro area) as well as out into the Harford Cty,MD area. People are being told weeks rather than days to the fix.

Prayer truly is in order in a sustained manner as many of them are so far away from their families, too. God, have mercy.
