[history]
The Treasury Department said Monday it will leave in place rules that allow financial institutions to accept the Mexican identification card, called matricula consular, which often are used by undocumented immigrants to open bank accounts.
The decision is considered a victory for immigration and Latino groups who have protested efforts to prohibit use of the identification card as anti-immigrant and anti-Hispanic. Financial institutions, too, had opposed any change in the rule.

The Treasury Department, of course, is headed by a Republican.

Why on earth would any immigrant bother with US citizenship anymore? They have all of the benefits and none of the responsibilities.

I can only suggest to all small business owners like myself to refuse to accept this form of identification at your business. This will take a court challenge to reverse this. I know of no other way.

Notice of course, that there is not a whisper of suggestion that the US government might even *think* using the ID card to track, round up and deport illegals....

I'll have to get one. All the priviledges of citizenship with none of the responsibility.

The decision is considered a victory for immigration and Latino groups...I wish I had a dime for every time I've read that sentence, or one similar, in recent months. It seems there's been nothing but victories for illegals and their advocates, one after another! In-state or free tuition, acceptance of the Matricula Consular, police departments refusing to arrest them, states granting them driver's licenses, and American cities proudly declaring themselves "sanctuaries" for illegals. It goes on and on, "victory" after "victory" after "victory."
May God help us all!

The Mexican IDs still are under review by a White House-led panel to determine if they pose a security risk and whether the cards should be accepted as identification. Everyone, flood the White House, now while there is a chance to save US sovereignty from Dem. vote panderers and Republican sellouts.

A guy I know wants to get a bunch of new credit cards with different IDs. Anyone know where the best price for a handful of these matricula cards might be found?

Why do I, born and bred here, have to provide multiple forms of identification and answer multiple questions about my background to obtain a loan while the illegals are given preferential treatment? "Matricula Consular: Don't Leave Home Without It".

"Why do I, born and bred here, have to provide multiple forms of identification and answer multiple questions about my background to obtain a loan while the illegals are given preferential treatment?"Right on!! I went to get a driver's license in the state of Indiana. I (and my family's been here since the 17th century) had to have my birth certificate, social security card, a utility bill, car registration,...and pass a written test. And then,...they wouldn't issue my license because they said my social security card was faded and old (I've had it since I was 14).
I am beyond angry at this that a friggin' illegal lawbreakin' scumbag from south of the border can get what I, a law-abiding, tax-paying citizen of this country cannot!!

The decision is considered a victory for immigration and Latino groups who have protested efforts to prohibit use of the identification card as anti-immigrant and anti-Hispanic. Financial institutions, too, had opposed any change in the rule. Well, this is just more confirmation (if anyone needed it) that Bush & Co. actively support the ongoing Mexican Invasion of America. No surprise here.
However it should be pointed out that Illegal Aliens are not the only victors in this Gross Act of Wanton Disregard for the Sovereignty of America. It's also a victory for Al Quida (sp) and their associated networks of terrorists that are undoubtedly very happy that OUR government has sanctioned the use of Mexicos Bogus ID Cards. A Card that they could easily use to conceal their true identities and allow them to roam America freely as just another band of roving Illegals from Mexico.
Next time you hear Bush say that his foremost concern is the safety and security of the American People remember this.
Truth is, if Bush truly cared about America's security he would have halted illegal immigration in its tracks immediately after 911, stopped immigration from the Middle East and issued an EO against the use of the Matricula Card or any other phony foreign ID.
Actions Speak Louder Than Words Mr. Bush.

It seems there's been nothing but victories for illegals and their advocates, one after another! This is no accident. Our government and the leadership of both parties are trying to dilute the voting strength of American Citizens as quickly as they can before these One-World Socialist Wonders can be voted out of office.
What we see on a daily basis from this Government across the board is Tyranny in Action--a government that is hostile to its own people and only representative of special interests. There is a well-known word that describes this sinister activity.

Well, this is just more confirmation (if anyone needed it) that Bush & Co. actively support the ongoing Mexican Invasion of America. You're absolutely right! This President doesn't seem to care about what he is doing to America. He only cares about foreign interests, not about what Americans want.
