Off topic here. But why in the heck are the Yankees playing the Orioles right now in Baltimore? You would have thunk they would have cancelled the game before Isabel. Sheesh!

It's too late in the season to try to cancel. The game was scheduled for 7:05 but was moved up to finish before the big stuff hit.

The game was originally scheduled for tonight. They rescheduled it earlier to try and get the game in before the 'cane showed up.

The Yankees haven't clinched the East yet, so they need to play it.

It is because if they had to make up the game the make-up game would have to be played in NYC. And MLB thinks that would be unfair. The Hated Yankees would play 82 home games and 80 away games. Instead of 81/81.

But why in the heck are the Yankees playing the Orioles right now in Baltimore?Well, the game was scheduled for 7:35 tonight, but they moved it up to 12:35 because of the hurricane. It would've seemed more prudent to tack it onto next weekend's series with Baltimore, allbeit a little more of an advantage to the Yankees as that series is in New York.

But why in the heck are the Yankees playing the Orioles right now in Baltimore?Wind blowing toward the outfield at 58 mph. Orioles leading 29-26 in the top of the 3rd.
OK, I lied. Scoreless in top of the third.
