Cavuto was discussing with Shirley Lee Jackson (D-TX) why the US should now get in bed with the French. Jackson is supporting the French view. As the discussion turned, the following brief exchange took place regarding French Fries/Freedom Fries.
Cavuto: "Did you ever call them Freedom Fries?"
Shirley Jackson (D-TX): "I never had the chance. I'm on a vegetable diet myself."

SJL is not from Houston . She migrated here with a lot of other trash back in the eighties from New York.We have the same problem in the Austin area. This area has grown so much, I moved out of the city in 1980. Now the Austin silly council has screwed up the city so bad with the "smart growth" plan, I am glad I am no longer a taxpayer in Austin. It is sick.

Hows that re-districting going ? I`m hope they made a special one just for her. And I hope it is full of nice new republican constituents. Probably not though would be my guess.
To: savedbygrace
I know all that. I still don't think she has it in her to know how to follow all the vegie rules of what can get mixed with what to make whatever. No flames here. You do NOT, repeat, do NOT need to defend SJL to me.

For the record, I don't ever want to know her well enough to know what she might be thinking at any given moment.

That's her. Thank Continental for her 'special' treatment.

"How can the Left continue to vote for such complete morons?"
Because they fit right in. Anyone who would vote for a moron like this isn't the sharpest tyne on the plow.

Still work in Austin but hate the drive. Talk about lefties - I can't post that here. Would get banned for some time.

Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I have a grudging admiration for that short story she wrote about the lottery.

I was a freshman in college in Austin in 1966. It was a beautiful place in those days but by 1980, the population had doubled and the politics in the city swung hard to the left. City planning largely consisted of protecting and supporting the street trash that was pouring into the city by the hundreds every day.Taxes went through the roof. Traffic became unbearable because of poor roads expansion etc... etc.... What a shame.

"We'll take your Shirley! and give you our Boxer and Gray! And just because we're so nice we'll throw in Boostie How 'bout it?"
3 statewide high ranking officials for one little congressperson? I don't want to take advantage of you! We don't have any demonrats of that caliber in Texas now!
How about I throw in US Reps. Solomon Ortiz (winner of Rush's Katie Couric Award), Ruben Hinojosa, my rep, who said, "We have got to stop staying passive, we have got to start being aggressive, we have to got to stay informed." plus, if you act today, my little ChickenDumb and ChickenDee - Zaffarini and Canales - absolutely free?
