"[Political consultants] spend their entire day trying to effect a half a sentence in a piece of legislation." Mike Deaver
Executive produced and directed by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh, HBO's latest groundbreaking series is an experimental fusion of reality and fiction--an entertaining, fly-on-the-wall look at government, filmed in and around the corridors of power in Washington. Starring Beltway insiders James Carville, Mary Matalin, Michael Deaver--and a host of political celebrities. Premieres Sunday, September 14 at 10:35 p.m.

I'm not watching as Goofy Clooney is involved not to mention Carville.

Clooney should have produced K-Y Street.

I will get the reports on each show(s),if any, from media research groups and not be part of the #'s for the ratings..He's {Clooney} no threat, his importance is nil.

Are you watching this? So far it sure seems like a showcase for RATs... and Howard Dean in particular. :-(
Dean: I'm the only white person I've ever heard who talked about race.
CarVILE bashing Republicans and Trent Lott now, basically calling them racists. *GAG*

Dean: I'm the only white person I've ever heard who talked about race. Yeah, the SOB thinks that it's okay for whites in Vermont (98% of the state) to have guns, while it should be illegal for blacks in New York to have them.

It's a blatant ad for the democratic party. I've watched my last 3 minutes.

Exactly.
I'm soooo sick of Howard Dean... the last thing I wanted to see tonight was an HBO program highlighting Dean and the 'RAT party. We just came back from a day in Boston... Dean bumper stickers ALL OVER the place! They're cropping up all over CT and RI, too. Also: "Regime Change 2004"
*barf*

Matalin looked like she was gonna have a stroke when Dean made the race comment.

This show really makes Dean look coached. I don't underestimate Dean, but I think we can handle this guy without a plan from Hell.

It also makes him look like a puppet of permanent Washington. Many Deaniacs were drawn to him because they thought old Clinton hands, like Begala and Carville, would have no voice in his administration, boy were they wrong.

No thanks. Anything that has George Clooney's name on it is off limits to me.

As a conservative I boycott HBO. Besides the fact that 99% of their programming is cultural poison, they give a stage to every America-basher they can find. No thanks.
To: My Favorite Headache
Perhaps the show will grow on me, but I was uncomfortable with the format - part real-life documentary, part fiction.
I would have preferred a straight-out fictional drama about lobbyists and the Washington scene.
