Abuse of actor's 1960s visa suggested (B-1 violation?)
Mercury News ^ | 9/13/03 | Dion Nissenbaum

Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger has denounced illegal immigration in his bid to become California's next governor, but the Austrian native may have stretched the bounds of United States law to secure his own ticket to America in the 1960s.

As a 21-year-old bodybuilder, Schwarzenegger came to the United States in 1968 on a B-1 visa, which allows visiting athletes to compete and train, but bars them from drawing a salary from an American company.

But in his 1977 autobiography, Schwarzenegger said he reached a deal with a legendary figure in the bodybuilding industry ``to pay me a weekly salary in exchange for my information and being able to use photographs of me in his magazine.''

That arrangement, said a half-dozen immigration attorneys across the nation, appears to have violated the terms of his visa.

Don't make me PUKE; immigration attorneys spend their entire lives getting CRIMINALS into this country.

From the article "Several immigration attorneys said the federal government was much more lax in the 1960s and 1970s in enforcing immigration laws ..."

The implication is that they are enforcing them strictly now. Does anyone believe this?

Perhaps we should write to the Mercury News and tell them if they're so interested in misuse of visas, etc., they should look into the fact that Bill Clinton is using his diplomatic passport to MAKE MONEY, which is against the law!

Joe Weider

Arnold also stated that he and Franko were working construction jobs ...their benefactor secured for them...

While Arnie and his bros were off gang banging chicks and blowing opiated hashish
me and my bros were off slogging rice paddies setting night ambushes for VC
getting limbs blown off and then upon returning home getting spit on by college punks (now democrats) and hollywood types

Arnie is the furthest thing from a hero there is imo....but just about anyone breathing and a few who aint are better than Bustamante the La Raza hero

And just when is Clinton supposed to arrive in California? His presense is being felt now. I wonder what FBI dossier tidbit will crop up next? It's getting close to kiddie porn soon.

So Arnold drew a salary on a B-1 visa roughly 30 years ago.

Obviously, we don't care about this any more than we cared about the fact that a President we elected dodged the draft with trickery and then skipping off to Oxford more than 30 years ago.

If the latter is no big deal (as apparently it was), then the former is mere trivia. Right?

If true Ahnold has violated the law. However, that does not mean that there cannot be thousands of daily busloads of people being taken back to mexico.

"appears to have violated"

This is the clue that tells you this is 100% bogus. When you dig through all the BS and find he did not violate his visa they get to say; Oops, so sorry, guess we were wrong about that.

I think they'll hold the kiddie porn stuff until the day before the election.

But, I'm guessing the L A Times already has the story on its hard drive.

Principles didn;t matter then, and still don't to many today, even here on a "grassroots conservative" forum.

Go Figure. ;-) LOL
