After weeks of pressure to drop out of the recall race, state Sen. Tom McClintock is about to feel the pinch in an unlikely place: a gathering of faithful Republicans who agree with him about issues and revere him as one of the party's truest members.

The Lesser of Two Evils Is No Longer Lesser (Sellout of Republicans)

We are also watching Republicans around the country fawning over the candidacy of Arnold Schwarzenegger for California governor, even though Schwarzenegger is pro-abortion, pro-gay rights, pro-gun control, and pro-illegal immigration. All that seems to matter is that he has an "R" behind his name. His commitment to the Constitution and to conservative principles means nothing!

The sellout by Republicans at both the state and national levels cannot be ignored or defended! They need to be seen for what they are: traitors to the cause they claim to represent! The time has come for conservatives to abandon the Republican Party and to start supporting principled candidates from parties such as the Constitution Party, because the lesser of two evils is no longer lesser.

You know, there are a lot of things to be critical of with Arnold, but to just make things up which are not true and then throw them out is not good for Republicans (although it is typical behavior for DemonRats)(maybe you are really a DemonRat).

Arnold has always been a registered Republican. He supported and worked with Pres Reagan.

Arnold, unlike McClintock, has the best interests of California at heart and so will not drop out.

Basically, only one person -- Tom McClintock -- will decide whether Arnold or Cruz is the next Governor. If McClintock stays in, he is in essence voting for Cruz.

Arnold's solution to illegal immigration is to obtain more funds from the feds to pay for these lawbreakers. He has no plans of stemming the tide of these third worlders, which is truly the greatest threat to our country. When I say threat I do not mean terrorist, although that is a concern, it is a threat to our beloved way of life.

That's what Laura Ingraham was musing upon this morning on her show -- Maybe we should be asking Arnold to quit.

I think McClintock should stay in until a few days before the election, then drop out.

That way arnold will have to veer a little to the right in his speeches and campaign promises. Arnold still gets elected, except he will be a little farther to the right.

This is truly disappointing. Its hard to believe. California Republicans demanding that a conservative member of the conservative party in America, one Tom McClintock, step down in favor of a liberal Republican candidate, one Arnold Schwarzenegger.

As a traditional Reagan conservative, this brings tears to my eyes. Tears of anger!

Is it time for a new political party in California?

Is it time for a "conservative party". Something for California conservatives to think about. OTOH, may be California should leave the union and join forces with France or Austria. It appears to be a lost cause at this point.

If Ronald Reagan could speak out, he would be appalled and outraged, at whats taking place in his home state. Reagan wouldn't recognize the Golden State GOP any longer. Republicans who would set aside their principles and surrender their conservative beliefs and values, are damaging the credibility of the GOP and pushing away from the conservative movement in America.

It is precisely that thinking that has given us the Republocrat. Arnold's political stance is only marginally different from that of Davis, and will only exacerbate California's misery.
