[history]
North Korea has been using Russian technology to develop a ballistic missile that could theoretically strike anywhere in the US, the Associated Press reported, citing a Bush Admistration official.
The potential range of the missile is 9,400 miles, AP said, citing the unidentifed offical. The distance between Pyonyang the North Korean capital and San Francisco is about 5,500 miles, the AP reported.

Yeah, yeah, you also predicted that Jeb Bush would get his butt kicked in the last election.

Hey, that's the demo-dimwit game plan.
To: per loin
Nice touch, it surely would be the end of the Democrat Party:); it could end much of the crime, poverty and welfare. Our country might become instantly solvent.

IMO, Iraqi WMD proof will surface right before the election of 2004. We are collecting it as you read. Do you really want to go down this road? To use a comedic metaphor: You're the straightguy being set up for a very funny punchline!
At this point we have proof of his other weapon of mass destruction in the Iraqi killing fields. Saddam is looking more and more like Pol Pot everyday.
Anyway, seems to me that striking Saddam prior to his acquisition of nukes was best strategy. Don't you? The proof is with NK: We can't simply attack NK NOW with the nuclear threat in the mix! If Saddam was in the same position as NK is now we could not attack Iraq the same way. This is precisely the reason for Israel's pre-emptive strike on Iraqi (French) nuclear reactor in 1981 (You remember the Israeli strike when all the world condemned them as insane. Even The Clash lampooned Israel in "Rock The Casbah"--this is not kosher). Israel knew that Saddam would use the threat card once he acquired the nukes. Moreover, the Israeli's knew that once nukes were acquired then the entire arab world would be emboldened to destroy her. Nukes change the debate, just look at our handling of Pakistan.
Further, NK was Saddam's ally. This newest NK nuke development was known by the Bush team. The scenario of our troops prepared to attack as a NK nuke shows up in Iraq would have been a miserable miscalculation on our part. NK was sending everything else to Saddam, why not a nuke? Come on, publius: Let's use logic and reason in this matter, rather than mindless slogans.
My only hope is that we extract the NK cancer before it spreads. Otherwise, you and I are a short-list for nuclear destruction.
Finally, your tagline is silly. CA recall is in their constitution. It's law! Lest you forget, Grey Davis sought recall proceedings in 1989.

Hmm, this is suppose to be based on the SS-N-6 launched from Yankee Class subs. It has a range of only 3200km.

Some day they'll even learn how to aim it.With any luck, they'll get it right in time for the DNC convention in Boston. I'll volunteer to paint the bullseye on the roof.

Just to refresh your memory, until the Russert debate when McBride shot himself in both feet, JEB was looking at a very close race. I also think I said he could lose (and probably should), not that he definitely would.

The left will simply change their tune. The media will suffer amnesia on their behalf and the bashing of the President will continue.
After all, the money could be used for 'programs' for the poor. To hell with national security.

Hows about we take the 'South' out of South Korea and make that country the island of Korea?

"NK was sending everything else to Saddam, why not a nuke?"
There was nothing of NK origin in the Iraqi Armed Forces. You are thinking of Iran which bought modified SCUDs from NK and used them against Iraq. All the Iraqi SRBM/MRBM were of Soviet origin or new-build/modified by the Iraqi's themselves. China supplied F-7 fighters, but NK supplied nothing of military significance.

Let's see. NKorea sends a missle, blows up...uhhh, Cleveland. Ok, now what are they gonna do with their remaining 15 minutes of life? Who said they'd get 15 minutes after this? If this were to occur, I'd be in NK in a nanosecond and kick every single one of their behinds all by myself.

the participant who indicates he is willing to use their weapons in spite of MAD will win in the end. Assume that everyone who has them is willing to use them. Nothing counts but actual use.

It is all rumors and gossips.
I met with that before when I lived in former USSR so I have immunitet to this now.
If there was evidence as this article allerge then let them show it. Then I will make my conclusions.
Or it will be the same as "the WMD of Iraq".
I disagree to deem rummors and gossips or pure speculations as solid facts. Sorry it is not convincing.
