The terrorists would NOT need a whole lot of fuel in a plane to bring down another plane by crashing into it in the air.
The crash would destroy the other plane and likely kill all people on board even if the terrorists' plane was down to its last gallon of fuel.
The extra fuel capacity could give the plane a greater flight range. However, if the bad guys are planning to use the explosive/fire impact of the extra fuel, they would likely attack some target other than a plane in flight.

I have no problem with this happening in Saudi Arabia.

This is what I have been looking for. I don't understand why there has been so little coverage on something with so much potential danger to us.

Well, no wonder we had the reports telling us the terrorists were still plotting to use planes, and perhaps fly one in from some other country. I can tell you the military has been very active all week in my area, with the jets and the helicopters constantly in the air.

This is an ongoing story from the last several months. This one had me going until this:
"At a closing speed of almost 900 miles, they would have no chance to avoid the flying bomb, said international security expert Ted Gunderson in Washington."
According to GlobalAircraft.org cruising speed is 570 - 605 mph. 900 mph would tear the craft apart.
This story is serious enough. It doesn't need hysterical hype.

With hijackings now almost impossible, I can't believe AQ would waste a plane by flying into another plane. They have plans for this one- plans greater than taking out one British plane.

My friends son works in the pilot shop at an airport. Just before 9-11, there was a group of middle- easterners that came in to but a high priced flight simulator program. They argued about which one to buy, and left without making a purchase.
(Yes, he informed the FBI. Probably on 9-12-2001)
The point is that the war on terrorism is real. They are at war with us. Though I have to wonder how seriously were taking it since we have literally millions of unidentified foreigners mixed in the general population and no border security. Thats right, no border security.
You may say, it is secure for the most part.
But that just doesnt hold water.

A 727 tanker? I'm no aircraft expert, but do any militaries use a 727 tanker? I think KC135 are 737-based. Are there non-military tankers? Someone fill me in here.
