Who's in charge of FR Polls?
Free Republic ^ | 9-11-03 | harrowup

Why is this 'poll' still cluttering the landscape?

Surely there are more important things to be thinking about today than this?

Question ...
After the debate who do you support for Governor of California?
McClintock
Schwarzenegger
Other
Undecided

1,629 votes total; you have not voted.

My real question has been bugging me for weeks...

What debate? When was the debate? Is there a transcript?

And no I haven't voted on something I've never seen.

Oh, THAT debate.

Well, several minutes into the debate Arnold asks the moderator for the 12 gauge auto-loader, the 45 long slide with laser sighting, a Phase plasma rifle in 40-watt range and a Uzi 9mm. The debate ended right after that.

If you'll vote, it will drop the poll to the bottom of your page.

Everyone needs a little clutter in their life otherwise they would be too organized and bored.

I did note that in an earlier FR poll, McClintock jumped out to a big lead, and Arnold crept closer and closer, closing to within 1% if I recall correctly.

Then, the slate was wiped clean, and a new "post-debate" poll was put up. McClintock again jumped out to a big lead, but again Arnold seems to be gaining. I'm not suggesting an anti-Arnold conspiricy, but it is interesting.

Same old true believer vs. pragmatist contest we've seen played out so many other places. I "voted" for Arnold, but I'd rather see McClintock as Senator. Half a loaf is better than none, and I suspect that many conservative Californians will reach the same conclusion in the real vote. If Arnold can run close to McClintock among FReepers, that would seem to bode well for his chances.

Oakey doakey; since y'all have been so damn helpful, not to say enlightening, I'll pay our housekeeper to vote for Bustamonte. She is from Honduras and can probably get three of her six children to vote too.

She was going to vote for Davis (again).
