There are a lot of "Freepers" who would rather see Bustamante governer than Schwarzenegger. So they will vote for McClintock, which is a vote for Bustamante.

Maybe they are just insane.

Arnold's not perfect, but he's our best choice as a governor with a good conservative philosophy. I agree with him 75 to 80 percent of the time, he adds.

Wouldn't you love it if the interviewer immediately put Rohrbacher on the spot and asked: "What are the positions on which you agree with Schwarzenegger 75 to 80 percent of the time, Congressman Rohrbacher? Be specific."

He'd freeze up like a deer in headlights. I've asked this question over and over and over again on this forum, and the Arnold Groupies either ignore the question or lash out with personal attacks against either Senator McClintock or myself. Amazing.

“I agree with Tom’s viewpoints 100 percent – whereas I disagree with Arnold, as I say, about 25 percent of the time on issues. However, a vote for McClintock will only result in the Davis regime in California continuing.”

What 25% do you disagree with? I can't find even 10% on which I can agree with him on.

How can anyone honestly say that they agree with Tom's viewpoints 100% but only disagree with 25% of Arnold's?

If McClintock had as much money and fame as Arndroid, Rohrabacher would be his best friend too. I know Dana, and he can smell a buck a mile away.

Rohrabacher would make a great GOP Senator. He can run as a "lifetime Conservative" who can bridge the philosophical gap because so many of his "close friends" are liberals like Arnie. Then, when he has his Senate office for life, he can govern straight left like all the other RINO's. They'll let Bush's conservative judicial nominees die in committee because "psssst.. big secret here..", they don't like Bush's "right-wing-idealogue" nominees. So, they say.. "tisk..tisk.. if only the SENATE RULES allowed us, we'd break that nasty ol' filibuster that never was, and push the Presidents nominees to the Senate floor for a vote. Hmmmm...yawwwwnnn..nothing we can do.".

Yep...this guy fits the RINO bill, too. I expect he'll be a nominee for the CA Senate seat one of these days.

Rohrabacher is only as conservative as he has to be to be elected in a solidly conservative GOP district.

Here's one issue they both agree on... both are pro-military, pro-troops, pro-national defense; anti-terrorist

A survey was done asking military men and women which celebrity they would most want to meet. The answer was Arnold and he went to Edwards to do so, even bringing his son. The magazine that ran the survey took pictures to accompany the article about it.

"By Popular Demand"

EDWARDS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. (AFMCNS) Jan 2002 – Action movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger cheers with a few Edwards members during his visit to the base in December. The star was on the scene at Edwards for a photo shoot with Talk Magazine. In a recent poll magazine officials have taken, military members voted Schwarzenegger the star they would most like to meet. The photos will be published in the February issue of Talk due out Jan. 11. (Photos by Staff Sgt. Stacee McCausland)

A big show biz name and face recognition would pump life back into the Republican Party even if it means sidestepping left on a lot of important issues...at least in California

Who cares about abortion or gun ownership?...these are meaningless issues to the elite..
the cares of the untermenchen...throw them a crumb & they vote for you...

Arnold said in the beginning he would bring back business in order to tax them for his social program dreams?....did he or did he not say this?

The next thing ya know...Arnie flip-flops and has pretty much cherry picked Tom McClintocks issues?...why?

Where is the "Real" Arnold...is the Rhorabacher version real or just window dressing to get the buyers in the door?

Of course Mr Rhorabacher likes hanging with Arnold..they all do...he is a personality...
...people want to be around him...simply because he is bigger than life..at least their lives..he is a movie star...a movie idol....and idol worshippers like being around him getting a little attention from him makes them shine a little brighter for a while...

And that kind of advertising is worth its weight in gold...

If Arnold backs you in public...you have just earned votes you could not get on your own..
This whole deal is about more marketing the Republican Party..than it is of substance

Its not about right and wrong...just about power ..how to get it ..and how to keep it...

Will Arnold remain true to his word and for that matter to which word? He has flip flopped more than a major Sea World attraction

Hopefully Tom makes a deal with Arnold...one he cant leak out of...one for the conservatives of California the real Republicans...if Arnold wants to win badly enough (I think he does..he hates losing..at anything) Tom should cut a deal....one that locks Arnie in to the conservatives...

And then Tom should back Arnold...all the way...

Right now we should be looking at long-term goals.
Arnold Schwarzenegger will win and with his wife Maria (A Kennedy) campaigning for him, many democrats will be pulled into voting and remaining in the Republican party.
The Republican party has a large stake in this election.
The big picture is the 2004 presidential election.
A Republican Governor will be an asset.

Schwarzenegger is who Conservatives vote for when they are running out of hope (socially liberal, fiscally middle of the road, yet with an R, after his name).

Why should Arnold debate?

He has all the "expert" practitioners of appeasement on his side including the media and high mucky muck politicos and there is no shortage of willing volunteers here who do the attacking of Tom and conservatives, in general.

They will deny it, of course, becuz we must win, at all costs. What a joke.

Quite a few of them post here everyday, and sadly, many of them are old-timers who have been sucked in by hysteria and who now wrap the shroud of their own misplaced righteousness around their cliques.

They openly call Tom and his supporters crazy, and impugn character as if they never heard of the words , fair play.

I, for one, feel for Jim Robinson as I don't think he would have ever imagined that this forum would be used as a tool of the left and moderates to support the RINOization of America. Isn't the job of Presidnet Bush difficult enough without this charade being played out? The true colors of many is coming thru and it ain't pretty.

They will, of course, claim they have never been so insulted before, but I for one, could care less about their feeeelings or for having anything to do with their headlong march over the cliff in the name of "winning". Many don't pay taxes here to begin with, but that doesn't stop them from bringing their weapons of persuasion into battle, and battle is what this is, after all.

Conservatism is on life support, imo... and their feet are standing on the oxygen hose.

What better day to fight for FReedom and Liberty in California than on 9-11.

(adjusts the flame shields).

Bring It On!

If (R)nuld is the "hope" for the California GOP, then I'd suggest that they start sucking on the business end of a .357 because they're deluding themselves to think (R)nuld will be much, if any, different than the Democrats.

Rohrabacher: Schwarzenegger Is the Republican Hope

If Schwarzenegger is the Republican hope then the Republicans are in a lot more trouble than I thought. If Schwarzenegger get elected there will be a lot of supporters of Arnold be mighty disappointed when he serves his term. Another RINO liberal with the R after his name. Does Bloomberg ring a bell.

These two have been personal friends for many years. No surprises. Arnie's little cirlce of friends were so impressed with his Hummer so many years ago that they invited him into the good old boys club. Yes, I personaly know a couple of the guys in this circle of friends out there in LA LA land.

I Don't usually have a problem with boys clubs, but I disagree with this statement. I don't know how somone can be a Republician and pro-abortion at the same time. It can not ever add up.

It is a baby not a choice. The woman already had her choice and her choice was unprotected sex.

I am embarrassed to admit that Rohrabacher is my congressman. I emailed him a letter expressing my opinion when he announced his endorsement of Aunold. Needless to say, just like Aunold, Rohrabacher has not found the courage to respond. And when Rohrabacher asks for my financial support next year I will not be returning his calls either.
