The 99-year old Big Sisters Big Brothers, which previously had no official position on homosexual behavior, now requires its branches to accept mentors who practice it.

Note the word "REQUIRES" - that means Big Brothers has been infiltrated by homos-activists and is now their tool.

I don't see the problem here. The only thing being demanded is compete as SIGNED consent of the parents. In other words. WHEN something goes horribly wrong, it will be the fault of the parent because the school has a signed consent form. The school may try to PC guilt the parents into accepting (not tollerating) a homosexual big brother but I don't think that will be provable in the absence of a signed consent form.

What do the schools know that would want them to not assume the liability? (perhaps they know the "duh" answer to the "duh" question)

I believe this article is only a "hint" of the actual problem - the tip of the iceberg. If the Leftist media were inclined to report the facts, the BBBSA scandal would dwarf the Catholic Church scandal. But Pederastic Priests are much more culturally acceptable targets than are Big Brothers.
