But what's FRUSTRATING is that he asks a question which, if he meant it, would be SO EASY to answer... but you know he doesn't care about the answer. Because if he cared about the answer, he'd already know the answer. AND because maybe you have, as I have, fallen for these questions, only to find the usual foolish non-response dodges.

Disheartening.

Would think that message has probably been delivered and rejected it seems by someone who thinks he is the only answer and no one else knows a thing. McC(lintock) obviously is not a team player just like the other McC(ain) is not a team player!

McNader ---- he's running against Arnold, not Cruz and he made that clear twice today: on Sean's radio show and again on Hannity and Lib tonight.

I heard McQuixote on Hannity's radio show and, while I agree with him on many issues, he really turned me off.....

I did not like what I heard. Too arrogant, to much Me Me Me. All he's going to do is ensure MeChA MeChA MeCha.

My reaction exactly. I was thinking that I hadn't heard such a nasty man since Dean was on with Russert.

In the Survey USA poll they looked at matchups and McClintock didn't do so well...... Neither is he doing that well among the republicans that were surveyed.

GW Bush is making me wonder if he's truly a Republican.

Nice of you to show up here this week so you can Bash Bush who is not running in this election! Give me a break!

The above comment you made speaks volumes about you much more than the President! A new poster and you Bash Bush -- seems like I have seen that a lot on here!

The "Not a Republican" are the people on here that say that if their candidate does drop out, they are not voting for Arnold, another Republican!

Next time you all want to call yourselves "True" Republicans forget it -- "True" Republicans support other Republicans

I cannot speak for the people you were addressing; I can only speak for myself. I couldn't give a damn about the Republican Party. For the most part, they are only slightly less corrupt and self-serving as their Demoncratic counterparts.

As far as I'm concerned, the Republican Party is too liberal, too big-government, too beholden to special interests, and too willing to trample the Constitution. Their only saving grace (and the only reason I vote for their candidates) is because they are less dangerous than the Leftists, Socialists, Communists of the Demoncrat Party. When it comes to choosing the leadership for our once proud "land of the free", that's not much of a choice.

I am proud to be a THINKING independent conservative who votes on the issues. Only zombies would be proud to be labeled a "True Republican."

Dream on.

Or perhaps you are thinking the vast majority masses of pinko liberals in Californicate are going to fork each other to death before the recall.

Why doesn't Bush have his people in CA making McClintock an offer he can't refuse?

Because Bush and the entire Republican party has written California off. We are not worth saving. We will be (correctly) penalized -- particularly when we lose all Homeland Security $$$ and Californians will be required to show a passport at the SD/TJ (or TX/MX) border.

But we conservatives somehow allowed Boxer and DikFi to hijack our state and make into the next Canada.

I am not sure where I screwed up, but I understand why the rest of the conservative country "left" us to fend for ourselves.

I think that SB60, in a preverse way, has shown the national RNC that they can't leave a power like California to rot in the sun. But their silence in this whole affair continues to offend me.

We need the RNC to come here and TCB.

If that is so, how can you so cavalierly reject Catholic discipline? Were you not required to assert fidelity to both Catholic teaching and Catholic discipline?

I promised to remain celibate if my wife dies, but I never had to assent to never disagreeing with mandatory celibacy for priests.

The practice is a discipline, much like "the pledge" not to drink for five years that was administered to newly-ordained priests in the 40s and 50s. They didn't sin by taking a drink (indeed, many did), and I don't sin by questioning mandatory celibacy, especially since I, myself, am an exception to it for Holy Orders.

Well, there goes his integrity, because he told Issa that he wouldn't play spoiler.

He'll need to find a new job soon - the CAGOP should come up with an incredibly well funded primary opponent for him for his next election....

If you really believe that why do all the to California Democrat slimemasters go on TV and talk up McClintock and what a great guy he is and how is going to overtake Arnold?

I couldn't pass this one by long enough to see how amused other posters are by this question!
Have you seen the Republicans for Sharpton pins and bumper stickers?

It really is hard to get a straight answer from these folks -- yes or no doesn't seem to be in their vocabulary. Haven't seen this much spinning since the days of the Clintons in the WH.

"I saw Arnold on O'Reilly tonight and thought he got his message across rather well."

Yes, except for the illegal immigration issue. On that, he was weaseling!

Imagine, for instance, if Alec Baldwin were running for governor.

And even though we all knew he was a die-hard Democrat, he ran under the Republican party name.

Further, imaging he was leading Bustamante by 5-points in the recall election.

Would you then say, "Baldwin is our man, McClintock needs to drop out now!"...

just so a guy with a (R) by his name would win the election?

Just wondering. I think many people need to ask themselves this.

Remember:
-Arnold is for gun-control
-Arnold will not rule out more taxation
-Arnold lobbied for the successfully-passed child care bill which will soon cost taxpayers $400,000,000+ per year
-Arnold has aligned himself with a Democrat campaign manager and someone who previously donated money to Gray Davis

Substitute the word "Arnold" for "Alec Baldwin" and see if you'd still vote for him just because he's the "Republican front-runner".

Because they're both Democrats under the surface, no matter what their nametag says.

Arnold is the spoiler here. Not McClintock.

Excellent! You have a fabulous memory! Yes, McNader did tell Issa that he would not play the spoiler!

I'll call Issa's office first thing in the morning. Maybe Issa can remind McNader; privately first and then publicly on the radio and TV shows if self-absorbed-arrogant Tom continues to ignore reality.

GW Bush is making me wonder if he's truly a Republican.I wondered how long it would be before McClintock supporters--who seemingly delight in calling everyone who disagrees with them "RINOS"--decided that not even President Bush was ideologically pure enough for them.

Now I have my answer.

thanks
