On the other thread, it is anyone's guess what was actually said on H&C. They are waiting for the transcript because the thread is about evenly divided on what he did say!

That's not what I heard, McClintock said he was in till the finish. I like him and he is the closest to my views on all the issues,.... but..... if he can't win and it looks like Cruz Mechamonte will win , I've got to go with Arnold.
Sorry Tom , don't insure a Dim win, get out.

I would like to see the Swarzenegger drop out. McClintock can win easily if the conservatives go vote.

Yes, it was really enlightening that he said he'd never drop out to keep Cruz or Grey out of office even if he were 20 points behind Arnie right before the election.
A real leader doesn't hand the office he hoped to win to the enemy if it lookes like he cant win it for himself after all. I'm not bringing McClintock's name up as a viable candidate anymore.

"McClintock on H&C(Says He's Still In, Its Early, But Will Back Arnie if Otherwise Cruz Would Win)"That's not what he said on Hannity's radio show, and when given a second chance he just hemmed and hawed and may have sort of said he might back Arnie if Cruz might win...but that was a reversal and Hannity had to push him into saying it.

McClintock on H&C(Says He's Still In, Its Early, But Will Back Arnie if Otherwise Cruz Would Win) You must have missed the interview on Hannity and Colmes. He said I will not drop out, and would be grateful if you guys can think of a more positive way of saying that.

Ahnold cannot debate...because English is a second language to him...
and everybody knows it.....His inability to speak (apart from a well rehearsed script) would be his downfall among more skillfull english speakers...he would appear foolish..
Which is of course unfair....but given Ahnolds ruthlessness in prior competitions..would be also be a good comeupance
While debate does for the most part favor the glib...it is still a good way to bring
the issues of the day in front of the public and learn of the candidate's stances
Regardless..Ahnold is not conservative on the important issues..but will claim to be in order to get elected - imo
He has reversed himself and taken McClintock's views on the issues McClintock has raised..Ahnold knows these are the things real conservative are concerned with..
and wants those votes...needs those votes..
after elected..imo... he will go the way of the liberal that he is and those he hangs with...
Of course the other choice is Bustamante....basically screwed either way..
Ahnolds entry into this election instead of his supporting McClintock pretty much proves he isnt as concerned with Ca. conservatism or the Republican Party.. as he is ..his own "lifetime achievment" imo
If Ahnold was real he would be campaigning for Tom instead of himself

I will work like a maniac to make sure that he loses the primary in 2004 if he passes the state to Bustamante.

Perhaps you shouldn't post, to avoid the embarrassment.
