If you are standing up for your purely conservative principles, why are you supporting the "backstabbing GOP" at all .... Why aren't you putting your vote where your mouth is and voting for Diane Beall Templin?

I am asking all of the Californians, both Arnold and Tom supporters, to please see if there can't be some sort of deal worked out.
My offer's on the table. All Arnold has to do is support the referendum overturning SB60 (which will give drivers' licenses to Illegals starting January 1st), and to repudiate his vow to lobby Washington to legalize "undocumented immigrants," (at which point he's said he wants to give them the DLs anyway). When he backs off of those positions, I'll vote for him, if necessary, to keep Bustamante from winning.

Sing it brother...!! Yes but until we start fighting like men and not little girls...

Too funny!

G. Davis and B. Clinton will will be visiting a black church in Los Angeles this coming Sunday. Imagine that!! Arnold's one up on him. He and wife Maria are to appear on Oprah Monday (according to another thread on FR).
To: Tamsey
Ronald Reagan had a political life after his Governorship of California. What Reagan did 37 years ago, has absolutely no bearing on the current recall election or Arnold's lack of seriousness and understanding of the current issues facing California.
The reality is clear. When it comes to Republican politics and the conservative agenda, Arnold doesn't know his a** from a hole in the ground.
To: Reagan Man
Right... the truth hurts, doesn't it?
Reagan would not have matched the pious "standards" you folks have been ranting and raving at us for not "standing up for" with Arnold. I'm certainly not saying Arnold is a Reagan, but I do think it is enormously hypocritical to pretend that pragmatic conservatives are abandoning our "principles".

good offer but we can and will do it as an initiative drive.... It will pass.

And also it is amazing that McClintock has apparently become such an icon in such a short time. Is he really worthy of all of this, or is he just a symbol?Think "form over substance" with his more fanatic bots. Like the simple minded souls they are, so long as someone apes the pretty slogans they want to hear, they'll blindly and stupidly follow him down a precipice.
To: Chancellor Palpatine
got to disagree... Tom does have substance and he was fighting Davis Huge on the Car tax and a bunch of other issues before the recall was even real. He would be a good gov. But not this go round.

"You're leaving a lot out of your analogy. Sundquist RAN as a conservative, even governed as one for a while."
Yeah, for about the first few months of his term. And I voted for him, the first time, at least. Ask people how they feel about the brand new Governor of Alabama.
"Then somebody at the TEA must of found pictures of him in bed with little boys or something, I don't know. He BECAME a RINO."
Actually, people that knew ole Scummie personally knew that there was something wrong with this cat from the get-go, but he didn't let on publicly until later. I knew it when he got into bed with the corrupt 'Rats here in Nashville, the same ones he apparently had been in bed with in Memphis. How fortunate we are in the case of Ah-nold that he's making it clear BEFORE he gets into office where he stands.
"He ran as a conservative, becasue TN is as conservative as Cali is liberal (pay attention now, son...) The ONLY way you can win in TN is running as an anti-liberal (like Lincoln Davis did)."
Nope, TN is not as "Conservative" as made out to be. It's actually close to the national model. As for Lincoln Davis, he won thanks to the gerrymandering by the 'Rat MINORITY in our legislature (of course, ole Donnie did nothing to stop it, and took great delight in an attempt to purge the GOP of yet another half-dozen+ seats in the State House). His phony posturing as a "Conservative" didn't take away from the fact that Gore himself was backing him to the hilt, and that he greatly outspent his GOP opponent.
"Arnold, on the other hand is NOT running as a conservative. That would be like Bredesen running as a Ted Kennedy liberal."
Ah, but Ah-nold is trying to appear like he IS one by snookering all of the "Conservative" rubes into endorsing him. As for those VERY intimately familiar with ole Pharoah Phil, we know he IS a Ted Kennedy liberal. He just the let the cat out of the bag with his lil Natalie Maines rant just the other day. And, of course, ole Phil began his career running for office in Taxachusetts. Some of us who know what he (and his wife) did to reach "the top" in this town, know the man is absolutely without any sense of ethics or morality whatsoever.
"You can only win in a state that tilts heavily to one side by running on that side or as a moderate!!!!"
Depends on one's definition of "moderate." I guess that means that Conservative Don Carcieri of RI wasn't able to win the Governorship in a liberal state. Or liberal Janet Napolitano in "Conservative" Arizona...
"Take Tennessee, turn it upside down, and understand why in Tennesse a RINO is a treachery, but in Cali, it's a vast improvement."
Apostasy is improvement ? No, sir. We got Bredesen because of Scumquist. Ah-nold will begat a 'Rat at the next regular election. That's how it is.

good offer but we can and will do it as an initiative drive.... It will pass.
Unfortunately, if Arnold wins, he intends to lobby to make the Illegals guest workers, and then give them drivers' licenses. Schwarzenegger criticized Davis for signing a bill granting driver's licenses to undocumented immigrants, saying, "We're leaving ourselves wide open to terrorism." And he repeated his support for a guest-worker visa program -- "then they can (get) driver's licenses hooked together with insurance." Sacramento Bee - September 9th, 2003
He doesn't appear to be interested in my vote.

>>>Right... the truth hurts, doesn't it?I wouldn't know. I haven't heard you speak the truth yet. And all the nonsense you've been throwing around lately, doesn't hurt me, but it sure damages your credibility. All you do is move away from discussing the real issues. You either ridicule McClintock, bring up poor old Ronald Reagan, or revert to some other silly diversionary tactic. McClintock has plenty to do with this. But Reagan has nothing to do with this. You're right about one thing, "I'm certainly not saying Arnold is a Reagan.... As if we needed your reminder of that fact.

Fieldmarshall tell me how Arnold is trying to fool conservatives? He has espoused non conservative issues to the press....

Naw, Tricky Dick would still be alive. We'd just have some poor RINO flunky having to change his diapers and fetch his straws for din-din.

You BWWWAAAAAHAAAHAAAA'ed at a comment I made earlier and I returned it with a polite question.
Do you have any intention of answering it? Post #262?
Diane Beall Templin... representing the purely conservative voice and party of all the candidates?
