Just stated this, interview is on NOW.
Does that mean you'd rather have a Rat governor than a RINO governor? Do RINO governors have no republican virtues at all, whatsoever? Is no loaf at all bettter than half a loaf?
Is having the recall pass, but Bustamente win worth more than having the recall pass and Arnold win? Is stirring up the electorate to get the recall election held only to fall flat in electing an R, any kind of R, really what the R's need in California to become serious contenders in the future?
Not if you're supporting the liberal Ah-nold.
"I am also in Thousand Oaks , Mcclintock is my rep. I have volunteered at his office... By the way do you know where it is???"
Yup, I do, indeed.
"didnt think so."
You're wrong, boy.
"McClintock is great.... but you and him are politically blind."
Far from it. Unlike you, I know how to analyze elections and trends. And unlike you, I know what a REAL Republican is and what a RINO is.
"Tom needs to step asside and put his endorsement to arnold, WITH the exception that if arnold dies or gets compromised so bad he looses support, so he can jump in."
Fuhgeddaboutit. Tom's withdrawal assures Gray Davis's victory in the recall. With no REAL Republican in the race, there will be ZERO reason for Conservatives to show up to vote. I guess that's ultimately what you guys want, Davis to complete his term.
"THIS IS POLITICS, and you get your ideas passed and arnold is already going to do it."
Yes, and this is why WE OPPOSE HIM. Some of us have had RINO Governors and watched as they ramrodded their LEFTIST agendas down our throats while DIVIDING the GOP badly in their respective states. Aw, didn't know that, Skipper ? Didn't think so.
"Tom does not step aside by the weekend he will have screwed any chances for the party and himself."
Tom is attempting to SAVE this party, if you actually bothered to notice, pal.
"You see we have 2 houses of reps in this state BOTH democrat."
And that will not change with this election. You will, however, have even MORE Democrats ready to enact their agenda after a Schwarzemente victory in the next election. RINOs begat lotsa lotsa 'Rats. But, of course, if you knew how to analyze political trends outside of your closet, you'd know that.
"this election is about a message, if we fail we are screwed"
What's the message ? Putting forth a RINO to implement even MORE Socialism than Davis ? Brilliant. You get the gold star.
"If we win we will most likely win Boxers seat next year,"
You will ensure Boxer wins in a LANDSLIDE you put a RINO in. Take that to the bank.
"So dont tell me about Tom being a nice guy... and I am a foaming at the mouth conservative! THINK .... THINK ... THINK!"
Look in the mirror and say that, Skip. Keep up this agenda to install a leftist RINO and watch what is left of your party go up in smoke. And if it does, it will deserve to die. The 'Rats will thank you forever.
McClintock is not telegenic and comes off badly on TV. Something that is a killer in a campaign like this. I was making that point by referring to his eyes. He looks a bit crazed and odd. That's too bad for him because too many people will react negatively to his poor TV presence.
As far as your daughter's past problem it has nothing to do with my comments about McClintock. And don't presume that because you experienced something unfortunate such as you described I have not either.
If you think what I said was a "mindless insult" you would likely puke over what the Davis and Busamante hired guns are saying about McClintock behind closed doors. In between their glee that McClintock is still in the race. Their comments would make mine look very mild.
Politics is not high tea. The idea is to win. It's a mean and nasty business filled with mean and nasty people. That's the way it is.
BUMP!
That makes sense, since Schwarzenegger was due at a fundraiser about a mile from my home at 5:00pm tonight.

Peace.
Aren't you being contradictory with your advice? If Arnold has some skeleton in his closet, don't you think the Democrats are going to wait until the weekend before the election to unearth the skeleton (just like Chris Lehane did with GW's DUI conviction on the Friday before the Tuesday election)? If so, then it makes sense for McClintock to stay in as insurance until just before the end of the election. Having McClintock stay in until just before the election also makes sense to the extent it prevents Gray Davis and Bustamante from focusing all of their negative campaigning on Arnold. Finally, as long as McClintock and his people are not tearing down Arnold and Arnold and his people are not tearing down McClintock, it makes sense for McClintock to stay in until the end because McClintock's people might otherwise not vote in favor of the recall if he were to fade away right now. The bottom line is this. Arnold can get 70% of the vote for governor and still not win if Davis gets 51% of the recall vote. So like it or not, every vote that McClintock brings to the table right now helps Arnold to the extent that the McClintock voter votes in favor of the recall.
Early? It's NOT a primary. Absentee ballots are in the mail.
1. The Parsky/Rove/Wilson Crew have never given him anything in the past so how would this be any different?
2. Sure, he could go on as he has, supporting initiatives, exposing fraud, etc. And then take Gallegly's seat when Gallegly retires.
3. Team game? Then tell that to the RINOs who stiffed Simon after he won the primary in '02... or who refused to help McClintock against Westley.
I've said my piece. I'll leave you now to your mean and nasty business and your mean and nasty people.
After all, it's so...productive.
I do, since WE are Americans. California isn't Delaware, what happens to it has repercussions across the nation. And I also use "we" because my family is there, my young niece and nephew are there. I care about their future, or lack of one, if this leftist insanity continues under either a 'Rat or a RINO.
"Republicans in Indiana have sense. McIntosh, who is far more conservative than McDaniels, dropped out and threw his support behind Mitch. He learned his lesson about the electorate here, and decided that winning the governorship was the most important. I worked on the McIntosh campaign, so I know that this was done because of his concern for the state."
But these people are REAL Republicans. These are not Julia Carson frauds parading around claiming to be Republican, and this is the difference.
"No one in Indiana would try to force Julia Carson on us, and I do not think Arnold could even remotely be considered the equivalent of Julia Carson."
He is, and worse. The sad part is that so many of the Ah-noldistas around here don't see the red flags going up all over the place. Do we have to wait until he gets in and performs exactly as EVERY single solitary RINO Governor has behaved and makes an awful mess of the joint before y'all finally say, "OK, you guys were right. He's terrible." ? Forget it. I just watched one of these cretins ruin my state, leave it a mess, divide my party badly, hand over the Governor's mansion and the difference between majority 'Rat and majority GOP control right to the 'Rats. Ah-nold will ensure the 'Rat majority in CA is untouchable for the next 50 years. Take that to the bank. It WILL happen.
"Nice try, but I want a Republican win in California, and I want the McClintock and Schwartzenegger people to get together and work out a deal."
You should know that when you drive Conservatives out of the GOP, the party dies. Take a look at states like Massachusetts, once one of the most preeminent GOP states in the country. When the liberal RINOs took over the party, the same types touting Ah-nold, they destroyed it and now there's almost nothing left of it. I don't know what kind of a deal you have in mind, but this isn't the same as Daniels vs. McIntosh. Both men are REAL Republicans in good standing, they don't harbor hard-left political views. In CA's case, you've got a profoundly wide divide. Ah-nold represents precisely why the CA GOP is in the mess that it's in. There's no dealing with them other than to drive them out. Ah-nold has zilch business running as a Republican. Claiming to be one in the absence of the very bedrock principles of the party doesn't make you one. I only want Republicans to win as long as that means they are NOT liberals, otherwise they do NOTHING to make this country a better place.
"To quote Vince Lombardi, "Winning is the only thing.""
What does it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world but lose his own soul ? (Mark 8:36). Winning in the absence of principle is no win.
The only problem with that is if there is some dirt still to come out on Ahnold. But after the mud that has already been thrown, I doubt there could be anything worse. I mean sex, drugs, and Nazis, the only thing left is video of him killing somebody, but they have even tried that angle using his movies as a proxy for real life. ;-)
I tend to agree. All the prior suits have been tossed out. This one, before the 9th, is arguing that the punchcards will somehow disenfranchise minority voters, but I don't recall anyone making that argument after any prior California election. In fact, I would argue the opposite -- that Florida 2000 was a national training course on how to vote with punchcards. If people don't understand how they work after months of media reporting on chads of all sorts, then nothing can be done to help those voters.
