Yet another book I ain't gonna buy....

Black conservative ping

If you want on (or off) of my black conservative ping list, please let me know via FREEPmail. (And no, you don't have to be black to be on the list!)

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

Well, this is really interesting. I must be behind the times, but I never knew Raines hired a former mental patient and a cokehead to achieve "diversity".

I'm all for giving people a chance, but he really blew it here.

Burning Down My Master's House

A better title would be "Biting the Hand That Fed Me". What a punk.

The first line of the story was (surprise surprise!) incorrect. It should read:

"Ex-New York Times reporter Jayson Blair has agreed to write a fabrication about his life and the scandal that forced him to resign blah blah blah"

"Burning Down My Master's House: My Life and the New York Times,"

Am I missing something???...don't the liberals get mad when we say that "affirmative action" is akin to slavery with plantations and masters. Is he admitting that he was a "house negro" on the "massa's" plantation???

Debbie Raffin? Didn't she play Gidget in Gidget Goes Hawaiian or something similarly deep?

I don't fault sleazy Blair for taking the easy money! The publisher may prove to be foolish, but not if enough fools buy it.

That was Deborah Walley. Deborah Raffin is the daughter of 1940s cinema actress Trudy Marshall. A model in her teens, Raffin turned to films in the early '70s, projecting an image of easily outraged innocence. Her largest film assignments included the starring role in Jacqueline Susann's Once Is Not Enough (1977) and as the (literally) bedeviled heroine in The Sentinel (1977).

She also played Goldie Hawn's part in the weekly television version of Foul Play (1981) and was prominently cast in several made-for-TV movies, as well as the 1988 miniseries Noble House.

While her acting career has not been spectacular, Deborah Raffin has managed a successful book-on-tape service called Dove Audio, and was co-producer and co-writer of the 1993 feature film Morning Glory.

No, if anything, it is a comment on the morality of our sociery, not politics.

It's a nonevent: if this country still cares about principles, there will be a few dozen copies of this book sold; if sales are large, this tells you that gossip is more important that honor. In either case, it has nothing to do with politics.

Stay tuned for a network television movie or miniseries.
