There is a quote from Arnold but not in the context quoted here:
http://www.nbc4.tv/politics/2438432/detail.html
"Even within the Republican base, if you are talking about a closed Republican primary... they are no more than 20 to 25 percent of the registered Republicans. There is a perception out there that all registered Republicans are right wing crazies -- that, in fact, is not true."

Thanks for that quote and BTW, it is the perception. In fact, after being on here the last few weeks and seeing what I have been seeing, I would go along with that perception!

Although his positions on such issues have nothing to do with ending the state's financial crisis, which Schwarzenegger has said would be his main concern as governor, they are important because they could help him gain support from the conservative wing of the state Republican Party. "Even within the Republican base, if you are talking about a closed Republican primary... they are no more than 20 to 25 percent of the registered Republicans. There is a perception out there that all registered Republicans are right wing crazies -- that, in fact, is not true." LINK
Thanks for the link. Sure looks like Arnold thinks that 20% to 25% of registered California Republicans are "right wing crazies." Doesn't he need those votes? Who's advising this guy?

(Arnold opposes the driver's licenses, but he also wants to lobby DC to legalize Illegal Aliens. Ah.)
