Juxtapose DC 9-11 into the liberal reviews on Seabiscuit:

Seabiscuit [DC 9-11] is a proudly cornball sentimental epic—a reverential paean to a vanished America that's steeped in inspirational uplift and played for world-historical pathos. - The Village Voice

or

To make Seabiscuit [DC 9-11] into a parable about a nation’s recovery and survival in hard times only deceives people about American society and history. In the end, such an effort is meant, rather flimsily, to “keep hope alive,” at a time when serious doubts about the viability of the present set-up are forming in many minds.- World Socialist Web Site

Just another Brick in the Wall.

Why shouldn't it be pro-Bush? He was a hero of 911.

The lefties always swim in a bottomless cistern of rancor for Americans and hatred for America.

At least one of these reviewers had the presence of mind to be named Mark Jurkowitz.

From what I understand it sure wasn't Praimary Colors, or the West Wing.

Imagine the fawning reviews if Algore or the Toons were in the White House on that dreadful day. Of course, we would probably have surrendered by now, but imagine the reviews! /sarcasm

The casting was great and the story was fine.  The left is just pi--ed as they can be that Clinton didn't turn out to be a guy who could bite his lip and look presidential during this terrible period in our history.

I think I summed this up quite well a few months back.  Here's that graphic

Envy and Pride...

Screw the left.  What do they know.

Let's see we've had how many fawning movies about "the greatest President ever" JFK, who served 1/2 of a term and managed several major blunders. It seems we can't get enough books, movies, docudramas and other stories lamenting the days of Camelot but one movie depicting the events of 9/11 and it's apoplexy on the left!

Funny thing is, the actor who portrays Bush in the movie is none other than Timothy Bottoms, who portrayed Bush in a comedic vein in "That's My Bush."

It's ridiculous to think you can get anywhere near an accurate picture after a mere two years,

Gee, they must have really had fits when Bob Woodward put out a book about it less than a year.

Oh wait, what am I thinking. Woodward's a liberal icon. Never mind.

What you are saying is true, but the difference is that those movies were made after Kennedy's presidency, not during. I am always uneasy about portraying a President in a movie while he is still in office, regardless of political affiliation.

I thought Bob Woodward was a Republican. It was Bernstein that was the flaming liberal.

PT 109 was released in the early portion of JFK's administration, I believe.

Timothy Bottoms was also in the original Paper Chase and Johnny Got His Gun.

Television Critics Association (TCA) meeting where he promoted the film.

"They demanded to know, did I contribute money to George Bush, how much did I contribute," he says. He also got questions about his personal life and the people with whom he associates.

The TCA Who's Who are:
TCA PRESIDENT: Diane Werts, Newsday,TCA VICE-PRESIDENT: Kay McFadden, Seattle Times,TCA SECRETARY: Rob Owen, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette,TCA TREASURER: Kathy Tracy, The Herald/Canada,John Kiesewetter, Cincinnati Enquirer,Eric Deggans, St. Petersburg Times,Valerie Milano, Video Age International.

I thought Bob Woodward was a Republican.

Woodward grew up in Wheaton, Illinois in the 1940s/50s, when you were more likely to meet a martian then a Democrat in that town. He may have had a change of heart in adulthood, however.

Exactly. I watched it last night and found it to be incredibly factual.

I wasn't aware of that. However even if he is a Pub he is still a liberal icon for having gotten Nixon, so he gets a pass.

Never heard these same naysayers ridiculing West Wing or Wag the Dog or that other movie starring Travolta that was pro-Clintoon. Dismiss the lot of them for their RAT biasness.
