WWII shaped my patriotism and love for America in a mighty way.
When President Kennedy was assassinated, it also was through a radio broadcast that I learned of it.
A military wife then, living in Fairbanks, Alaska, we did not receive television broadcasts for three weeks after any event, the fims shipped first to Juneau - a week later to Anchorage - and THEN to Fairbanks.
