FRESNO, Calif. (AP) - Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante abruptly shifted strategy Sunday, moving away from his previous position that his campaign was simply a fallback in case Gov. Gray Davis is recalled.
At a rally here of 2,500 Bustamante supporters, the lieutenant governor made little mention of "No on recall."

Of course he is. There's never been any love lost between him and Davis. Heck, they're already "Bustamate for Governor" signs around my community--in English and Spanish of course.

The Democrats have given up hopes of keeping Gray Davis in office. Now they hope to make sure the Governor's Office remains in Democratic hands.

When the bus driver enters that voting booth, does ANYBODY believe he is going to punch "No" on the recall of the shoe sniffer?

Oh but this was soooo obvious at Bust boy's first announcement. The logo has the "no on recall" portion in white letters on a black background. Right under neath is " yes on Bustamonte" from a distance all you can see is the yes Bustamonte a guarantee that the message is vote yes then vote Busta....clever design to oust Gray

I find it hard to believe that all those illegal aliens swarming the polling places to vote for Bustamante are going to then make their vote meaningless by keeping Grayout in office.
