Thank you for the Greg Palkot report. The Iraqis need to be told over and over that we aren't leaving. Who can blame them? Thousands mass-murdered in previous uprisings, pols-press working overtime to undermine our efforts. Tough to trust others in the best of times.

"HELL TO PAY" was an awesome book. She hit the nail on the head. No one could tell it like she did. Yes it is an awesome book with so much information. A must read for everyone

Sen. Harry Reid, D-Nev., said on CNN that Bush and his advisers left the impression that Iraqi citizens would throw bouquets at U.S. troops, "but they've been throwing bombs instead." Cheap shots. In fact there have been more bouquets than bombs. Iraqis want us to save them from other Iraqis, and I am talking about common criminals. The Iraqi police force so far hasn't been worth anything. Our biggest mitsake was not establishing control in Baghdad with an iron hand right at the start. The problem was that not enough military police were available for the job. My son is doing that job even though his is a scout unit with no training in the task.

I bought the VHS of the Cathedral speech. The music was wonderful.
Soon after I bought four more for 2 grandmothers and friends, who wanted one.
I will watch it this week in honor of those who died that day, and since.

There is no doubt in my mind the people in Afghanistan are much happier now that the Taliban and Al Quaeda have for the most part been removed from their country!!!! I truly believe the same can be said of the Hussein Regime being removed from Iraq!!!! I have not doubt either. I just wish the libs would open their eyes and see it also instead of only paying attention of winning control

BINGO, The tactics the 9 nattering nabobs are using is a losing one. Comments like "Bush is a miserable failure" might get the most applause from the frothing at the mouth socialist left wingers, but the everyday Americans don't appreciate it one bit.
I was up in New York 2 weeks ago and was talking to a guy who said he didn't vote for George W. Bush but plans to in 2004, he said .... "I didn't like him even a little, but after the way he has answered the attacks on this country and rallied the nation to go after those responsible and he's earned my support. I'm not sure Al Gore could have done what George W. Bush did" I was talking to an off duty New York City Police officer

You know Bill, I think you're a nice person, but when it comes to this President you and I could not be further apart in our opinions.
We thank God for his leadership EVERY day and we do so OUT LOUD.
What he said tonight with regard to terrorists couldn't be more correct. In fact, it is the epitomy of what has gotten us where we are today. With his leadership and the COURAGE of Americans and our allies, perhaps one day we can live in peace again. Perhaps our children can know a world more like the one I grew up in. They deserve at least that. We are certainly safer today then we were two years ago.
President Bush 9/7/03 "We have learned that terrorist attacks are not caused by the use of strength - they are invited by the perception of weakness..."
We used to know this. Somewhere along the line we forgot it.

Don't you find it a bit ironic, bill, that you, as an avowed 'Constitutionalist,' have spent half of this thread DEFENDING arguably the worst President in history, who is both undeniably leftist and anti-American, and CRITICIZING one who may end up being one of the strongest, most pro-American Presidents, and who is most likely, by his resolve, saving your right to criticize him??
Pretty amazing, IMO...........and you're not even going to VOTE for him!

When you have to go that many hundreds of years back in order to scare up a few victims, a couple thousand out of... how many billions of Christians have lived in the last 2000 years? I'm sorry, but there is no comparison between that blip, and Islam's bloody history... not to mention the current polls that show 80% or so of Muslims support the forcible implementation of a world wide Islamic caliphate. You couldn't find .08% of Christians saying "Yeah, the Inquisition, that was pretty cool. We should do it again."

To you and to all:
Everyday I have watched this man is another day that I see the remarkable similarities to Abraham Lincoln.
Like Lincoln, he was a national unknown when he came to office and was thought incapable of handling great responsibilities.
Like Lincoln, he has led his country through a series of blows which destroy most leaders and nations-September 11, the war in Afghanistan, the recession of 2001, the Enron debacle, the WorldCom disaster, the Catholic Church scandals, the Columbia disaster, the war in Iraq, the current violence in the Middle East, the tensions concerning North Korea, the uncertainty concerning India and Pakistan.
Throughout all these crises which have shook the foundations of everything we prided ourselves on-our security, our religious institutions, our financial markets, Bush, like Lincoln, has been a calm beacon of unsweving devotion to his God, his country, and his duty.
I thank the Great Power which ever watches over our country for giving such a leader in times like these.

Bush told then two years ago that we were in a war. They don't want to believe it. They want to believe it is all rhetoric. My son is a freshly minted lieutenant with 2nd ACR in Baghad, so I am not entirely dependent on the media for information. He had Fox for awhile and he says that even they don't get it right. I still think that Iran has been left out of the picture. That country will have to be dealt with, one way or another. And Pakistan. That county is one bullet away from chaos. What's the old Bible express? Gird up your loins?

Well OWF, after all... he's not a "True Conservative" < /sarcasm > off
The fact is George W. Bush ran as a compassionate conservative and made many promises that did not meet the standards of what is considered "True Conservatism". He has not wavered from those promises and for someone to say they voted for him on 2000 but wont in 2004 because he isn't a true conservative is disingenuous at best
