His speech before the UN last year was one of the best I've ever heard from anyone, with the exception of his speech before Congress and the National Cathedral after 9/11.

Here's the deal: If a democrat is elected president, we lose the war on terror. Smart people will save sending a message by voting for some obscure candidate with no hope of winning for after the war is won.

Your posts are almost as reassuring as SOD Rumsfeld's briefings. (^;

Oh, here we go with the Inquisition again. 800 years ago, over about a 10 year period, some... what? 2,000 were killed? Not even as many as were killed two years ago in one day by Muslims. Syphilis took out more people in one year than the Inquisition in ten. I bet more people died of being trampled by runaway horses.

I have to admit, though I never knew that woman personally, we both really admired her. She was so intelligent, so real. You just really felt like you "knew" her and who she was. Nothing "fluffy" about her. Just smart, and savvy.

From what her husband "Solicitor General" Ted Olsen said of her last phone call to him, she even kept her head when she knew what was about to happen. What an amazingly brave woman too.

She is definetly missed. That crooked smile. Her determination to spread the truth.

"HELL TO PAY" was an awesome book. She hit the nail on the head. No one could tell it like she did.

Dang.. I feel the loss of this remarkable young woman all over again.

You knew she was a member of FR didn't you?

Well, I'm out of here. Been on this computer way to long today. I was trying to blow some time while I taped the movie on Showtime, because my better half is working right now. Can't watch it until he is here to watch it too. Arghhh

FRegards!

Barbara Olson was the best. It was when I first heard news of her tragic death that day that it all became real.

You captured her spirit beautifully.

They were both excellent! Yes the one at National Cathedral was the best though.

Well, of course any natural disaster like a plague takes out more people than an Inquisition, but it still cannot be denied that thousands died in the torture rooms of the bloody Inquisition.

Remember-the Inquisition took place 1500 years after the end of the writing of the New Testament. The Muslims are 200 to 300 years behind, theologically speaking. This places them at the height of the religious tolerance of the 17th century. As you know, the 17th century was a neverending period of destructive wars between Catholic and Protestant Kings.

Live from Baghdad - Greg Palkot - most Iraqis were in bed and didn't see it live but will see it as they get up.

Thinks the speech will go down well in Iraq and people will be gratified to hear that security is a key component. They will also like to hear about the funding and self government components.

Very important line to Iraqis - no going back to the dictator.

Very important about the commitment to stay the course - very very important to the Iraqis because they've been burned by the west in the past and they need us and WANT us to stay.

Is Wesley Clark the secret brother of Gray Davis? They're both ultra-white,don't blink and believe their own press. Yep, they're related!

Prior to the stunt that Gore pulled in the 2000 election, my interest in politics was minimal, and I had never heard of Barbara Olson.

It didn't take me long to become a fan of hers though. She had the ability to always smile and be kind while at the same time totally obliterating her liberal opponents' arguments. I wish I could do that.

I'll never forget on 9/11 when her picture came on the TV screen with the years of her birth and death below it. The TV was muted so I didn't know at first whether she had been killed in the attacks or if she had died by some other means.

When I found out how she died, I shed tears for her, as though I'd lost a friend. All of the deaths were painful, but hers was particularly so.

#847. True over a bottle of water. The Taliban had truly supressed these people to the point to where they just about had nothing! The people truly have greeted us there as Liberators as I suspect the the majority of Iraqi's have as well after there Brutal Hussein Regime has likewise been removed. When I left Afghanistan I saw the people happily rebuilding there homes as well as earning money rebuilding Base Facilities. There is no doubt in my mind the people in Afghanistan are much happier now that the Taliban and Al Quaeda have for the most part been removed from their country!!!! I truly believe the same can be said of the Hussein Regime being removed from Iraq!!!!
