I have to admit, though I never knew that woman personally, we both really admired her. She was so intelligent, so real. You just really felt like you "knew" her and who she was. Nothing "fluffy" about her. Just smart, and savvy.

From what her husband "Solicitor General" Ted Olsen said of her last phone call to him, she even kept her head when she knew what was about to happen. What an amazingly brave woman too.

She is definetly missed. That crooked smile. Her determination to spread the truth.

"HELL TO PAY" was an awesome book. She hit the nail on the head. No one could tell it like she did.

Dang.. I feel the loss of this remarkable young woman all over again.

You knew she was a member of FR didn't you?

Well, I'm out of here. Been on this computer way to long today. I was trying to blow some time while I taped the movie on Showtime, because my better half is working right now. Can't watch it until he is here to watch it too. Arghhh

FRegards!

Barbara Olson was the best. It was when I first heard news of her tragic death that day that it all became real.

You captured her spirit beautifully.

Prior to the stunt that Gore pulled in the 2000 election, my interest in politics was minimal, and I had never heard of Barbara Olson.

It didn't take me long to become a fan of hers though. She had the ability to always smile and be kind while at the same time totally obliterating her liberal opponents' arguments. I wish I could do that.

I'll never forget on 9/11 when her picture came on the TV screen with the years of her birth and death below it. The TV was muted so I didn't know at first whether she had been killed in the attacks or if she had died by some other means.

When I found out how she died, I shed tears for her, as though I'd lost a friend. All of the deaths were painful, but hers was particularly so.
