I wish that FNC would put together a Best of Barbara Olson special and air it on an anniversary of 9/11. That is an excellent idea. I wish the same. I would watch and tape it. May God accept her and watch over her family.

Oh, good grief!
With all that's wrong in the world, you're worried about THAT??
Remind me not to take you seriously any more......

Please include in your birthday wishes to your husband, the profound thanks of all the people on FreeRepublic -- the veterans, of course -- but all of us. We realize more than (sadly) some Americans do, the excellent effort he is making, and the critical importance of his work to us.

I must take exception with your thought that President Bush didn't show follow-through, or perhaps I just don't understand your comment.
He said failure was not an option and so many other things that suggested we will follow through - whatever it takes - mentioned WWII Marshal Plan and how long that took and what it cost but was worth it in the end.

Worse...I'm on the completely wrong thread. DOH!

Marshal Plan cost $13.3 billion (per FNC just now). In today's dollars, that HAS GOT TO EQUAL the Iraq pricetag.

" Returning this nation to the limits found within the Constitution."
What the hell has that got to do with protecting ourselves from terrorist attacks? The Constitution isn't going to do you any good if you're dead.

The world should, but sadly avoids, thanking G-d that America saw this distinction when it did
Yes... the very difference between Republicans and Democrats here... Dems look inward to their own lust for power, money and, ahemmm... "personal gratification" LOL Republicans look across the land and overseas, realizing our well-being is intertwined with that of our neighbors across the globe... and then make this world safer for all peace-loving people :-)
Sounds sappy... but that's the way I saw Reagan do it ;-)

Hon, if you are voting third party or sitting out the next election, I don't have time for you and your silliness.Bravo!! Applause, applause!! Excellent statement!
To: truthkeeper
Uh, OK.....
To: mass55th
Go ahead and throw your vote away. It's your right afterall; the same right guaranteed by men who gave their life's blood, thinking that you'd use that right in a way that was best for the country. Voting for a third party candidate certainly isn't what's in the best interest of this country. It's nothing but a slap in the face of all those men and women who died to give you that right. You demean their memory.LOL!! So I should vote by the letter by someone's name instead of by my conscience? I'm sure that's exactly what the Founding Fathers had in mind....I respect the memory of the men who died giving this nation of states freedom. And I do so by questioning my elected officials when I feel that they are not doing what they were elected to do.

I'm so happy he repeated that...we must remind everyone that we were repeatedly hit during the Clinton Administration and that egotist and his worshipers ignored every instance wherein they could have captured the enemies if the United States. I remind folks all the time .. I WILL NEVER FORGET

Your post #486 Yoni,
Bush talks about how the US must engage the enemy where it plans and operates before it reaches home, yet he doesn't allow Israel to do the same to the terrorists it faces (which hate the US as well). He talks about doing a series of precise strikes against terrorists and where they operate, yet the US administration criticizes Israel when it does the same He talks about raids on ammunition dumps and the killing of terrorists, yet he pressures Israel to negotiate with those very same terrorists He talks about the soldiers and that they will hunt down those terrorists who seek to kill them , yet he doesn't want the IDF to do the same, specifically to go get Yasser Arafat, a terrorist responsible for many IDF soldier deaths.
Yes, Yoni it is a double standard. One day soon I pray Israel says OK we do it OUR way have a nice day.You are either with US or against us.
President Bush gave a wonderful speech and I applaud him and thank G-D he is our President. There is no one else for this job in this time and place. But it also angers me that there is some kind of seperation in "their"Israels enemies and our enemies" good grief they are one and the same. All hating the book people, all wanting Christians and Jews dead.
Nuff said, but a big thank you Yoni.
