Good, I hate Miami.

How about those Carolina Panthers, down 17-0 in the third quarter and coming back to win it 24-23.
Peete was ineffective in the first half, Delhomme got the win.
I sure hope they start Delhomme next week.

Given that my Pats gave birth to BIG FAT GOOSE EGG today, it's nice to see the Fish flounder.

Crap - there goes my pool. Most other people probably have that as a loss also - except for the chix who just start picking teams for no good reason. They always end up winning...

But they may also have it as a loss because they usually pick the Dolphins because dolphins are "cute".

I'd like to thank all the bookies for making the falcons an underdog today.

And by all means, do so again next week.

Does the "poor officiating" include lettin' that guy score the touchdown after he had stepped out of bounds on the sidelines?

I, the zebras, and Houston saw that Chamberlain was in bounds. Otherwise, the Texans would have challenged the play.

Welcome to FR.

"Come to Houston...we've had years of training on how to lose gracefully."

Tell me.
I was part of the 46,000 'LUV YA BLUE' fans who showed up at the astrodome after the Oilers lost ('The road to the super bowl goes through Pittsburg') to the Pittsburg Steelers. (Forgot the year)

Late 70's, one of the 2 in a row post-playoff loss rallies was after that horrible Renfro touchdown blown call in Pittsburgh that led to instant replay.

"This year we knocked on the door, next year we're gonna kick the son of a bleep in."

We'll be happy to use your beatiful stadium while we win the Super Bowl

It's a beautiful stadium because that fat assed, low life, never did a damn thing for anyone or the community, sorry SOB, Bud Adams isn't in it.

'79 season.

I was brand new to Houston then and remember it oh, so well. Moved here that season and immediately fell in love with the Oilers.

Then I dated a guy in the late '80s who was a video freak and he copied a tape of his for me of that Pittsburgh game and the following rally at the Astrodome. So I have it on tape where Bud Adams says "Houston...I may be the owner of this team, but this team belongs to YOU!"

Yeah, right Bud. Whatever.

I was there from 1975-1994. I threw in the towel on the Oilers when they blew the 33 point lead against Buffalo. I've never watched another Oiler game after that.

Yes, that was incredibly painful.

I like to think that whole legacy left here with Bud Adams. :)

"Yes, that was incredibly painful. "

I lived in the SF Bay area (Before Houston) and was a big fan of the Oakland Raiders. I still have a banner from them from the late 60's. My younger brother got Kenny Stabler to sign it about six months ago. I'll give it to my son who was born in California in 68'.

After the Oilers, I completely lost interest in football and don't even watch it anymore.

I guess I'd better start researching which wine goes best with crow...just in case.

Thanks to the Titans' owner, I learned to eat crow back in the 80's. Oh...and had a real good lesson in it on January 3, 1993...against Buffalo (shudder!) :)
