Totalitarian Islamist revivalism has become the ideology of the dystopian new world order.

Excellent summation in an excellent article.

Unfortunately, she didn't discuss radical environmentalist groups like ELF. They have been using the leaderless cell model for some time, and it is one of the things that has made them so difficult to track. Nor did she discuss the anarchist movements, except briefly. She focused on the neo-Nazi groups, probably because the whole focus of intelligence under Clinton was directed at domestic terrorists of this stripe - although somehow Timothy McVeigh and his Islamic/Iraqi connections seemed to slip right by them, and they managed to obscure that connection entirely.

In general, however, the article shows the many frightening aspects of Islamism, and also calls attention to something I think is very important, the Latin American connection.

Ping to Grampa Dave.

The article reads quite well until the author veers off into discussing countermeasures. There is a disconnect here between his discription of the new "leaderless resistence" and the "root causes" tatics he recommends in response.

I am suprised the author did not discuss several avenues of counter attack. There would seem to be great vulnerability as the terrorists are forced gin up recruitment to replace attrition in Al Quaida. Equal vulnerabilty would appear to offer itself wherever these groups form alliances. Leaders, as they become careerists, have interests rapidly diverging from true believers who make up the rank and file.

As it appears now these groups cannot communicate efficetively, finance safely, or recruit with confidence. Under these conditions I can forsee a scenerio where they begin to sell each other out.

I concede that isolated cells can cause huge disruptions but these should be isolated, uncoordinated and unrelated to a greater goal of the terror rendering it unproductive to the larger motivating cause.

The problem with these types of articles is that they feed into the myth cultivated by the Opecker Princes/Thugs that these Islamofascists are unstoppable.

That is the mantra of the rank and file rats on the West Coast now. They are saying that we are wasting our time in Iraq and Afghanistan and future regime changes.

They want us to forget about 9/11 and what has been done to al Qaeda leadership and rank and file since then.

My answer is that this a myth that started with Jimmy Carter and his Opecker Princes/Thug buddies who have been financing Islamofascist terrorism for two decades.

When we find and kill the Islamokazis/facist/Nazis and kill or imprison them, they can't kill or harm us.

Then they talk about Mohammed on the Arab street, and I say Mohammed can't harm us if he is not financed and trained to get over here. If he becomes dangerous, just kill him.

It will be a long and hard war as GW told us from the beginning. However, we can win it. Just keep finding the Islamokazis/facist/Nazis and kill them. Dead men never harm another person.

Thanks for the ping!
