[history]
A peaceful protest will be held
Thursday, September 11 at the Clearwater Courthouse.
Can't go? How can you help anyway? I'm glad you asked!
"The Schindlers are about to lose their daughter because no one
wants to put a teaspoon of Jell-O to her mouth."
-- Christopher A. Ferrara, Esq.
Remember Miracle on 34th Street? Everyone always cheers when those postal employees start piling on the mail. Well let's go for something similar. It may not change the judge's mind, but it will make a definite statement to the media. I hesitated to start this because of Homeland Security concerns. Can't you just see some wild-eyed liberal screaming "SUSPICIOUS POWDER"? Think of the feeding frenzy...even though the motives in sending it were pure. So here's what I've come up with: Mail your newly purchased, sealed box of "gelatin" -- we all know the brand ;-) -- along with your letter of outrage to Judge Greer. Please freepmail/e-mail for the address. Then during the protest, signs will be available stating why there are boxes full of Jell, I mean gelatin, there. She can show them to the media, give the letters to Judge Greer and Felos (be sure to send them each a letter or two copies of the same generic letter). THEN she can donate the boxes of gelatin in Terri's name to a food pantry to be chosen by the Schindler family! Everyone wins!
It's very late and I'm very tired, so forgive me if I have rambled...and if my image doesn't load. That has nothing to do with fatigue and everything to do with memory lapse. If it doesn't load, use the link for the .pdf file. It takes a while, but I hope you'll be able to use it.
We could really use 2 or 3 Freepers to help out on-site. I'm going to try to get down there, but I can't guarantee anything.

I ran into Charlie Crist more times last year than I saw my brothers during the campaign. I just emailed him and asked him if he couldn't do anything, to forward my email to Jeb. I stressed the compassionate conservative theme and further, asked "what's going on?" and I also stated that spouses are moving to states that have exit protocols like Florida so they can take advance of their spouses. I also told Crist that if no one does anything, we'll be known as Florida, the Death State. If that doesn't help, I've gone as far as I can go without scaring myself. LOL
Everyone, keep emailing and calling. They may get tired of hearing from us, but they NEED TO HEAR OUR DEMANDS.
kimmie7, where is your jello box? I put my color cartridge in and everything. Please advise at your convenience...

Mail gelatin bump!

I'm just sending the picture of jello. I don't want to get in trouble with the post office. We can't mess around with stuff in packages. I think we're going to be back on HIGH ALERT sometime this week. I could be wrong about going back to high alert, but a picture like Kimmie7s is just a picture.
Kimmie, please freepmail me if you need a hosting page that doesn't make red-x's. I'll get your box of jello to a hosting site if you need one and back to Free Republic. I have a permanent page.

On second thought, I'm going to the courthouse as planned but I am not having anything to do with the jello project whatsoever.
Whomever receives jello, is not going to assume that it is jello just because it's a clever idea.
IF haz mat teams get called in because someone-anyone is "concerned", Terri's supporters get bad publicity and even worse.
I'll put Terri's Fight on my web page. Meanwhile, everyone who wants to mail actual jello packages better think long and hard about it. Take this as friendly advice with the best of intentions. I'm a Floridian and I know how they do things around these parts.

Plus, these two people are far, far gone and hell-bent on killing her, and I just don't see them changing because of jello. As much as I know there is incredible love and compassion behind the idea....and wish you luck.

Why is it a bad idea to write to the federal judge? Don't you think he would be more receptive than Greer?
I thought this hearing had to wait on the federal ruling before it could be held? Can you help un-confuse me?

That would be why I said the following in the original posting:
I hesitated to start this because of Homeland Security concerns. Can't you just see some wild-eyed liberal screaming "SUSPICIOUS POWDER"? Think of the feeding frenzy...even though the motives in sending it were pure. So here's what I've come up with: Mail your newly purchased, sealed box of "gelatin" -- we all know the brand ;-) -- along with your letter of outrage to: Judge Greer & George Felos, c/o Pamela Hennessy, 1133 Drew Street, Clearwater, FL 33755. Then during the protest, signs will be available stating why there are boxes full of Jell, I mean gelatin, there. She can show them to the media, give the letters to Judge Greer and Felos (be sure to send them each a letter or two copies of the same generic letter). I'm not saying Jello is going to change them. It's a visual. More people respond to visual displays...they would be more likely to notice, say, 200 boxes of gelatin than they would 200 letters in a stack, simply because of the difference in size.
I know this probably won't change anything. But we all know that the media tends to cover the "stunts" more than real news. Perhaps this 'stunt' will draw their attention to the actual situation and thus a report on 200 boxes of gelatin outside the courthouse turns into a potentially informative report on Terri's situation.
I asked for input and feedback regarding this idea on at least 2 threads and the only responses I got were positives and several comments about red Xs. I'm not upset, but I have had no more than 25 hours of sleep since I first heard about Terri just a little over a week ago. I've been researching, e-mailing, and generally doing anything I can not only to help, but to call attention to Terri's plight.
Have a nice day.

I don't want PH to get hounded by LE either. I understand but it's the wrong date. I am putting Terri on my web site though, that's a promise.

Not only that, but the liberals would have more trouble ranting about the protest when all that food product would be donated to a foor pantry. And if they did, that would put them in a bad light, wouldn't it?

In theory, we can write to anybody but the only person who can do anything is Governor Bush demanding that the legislature have a special session. At this point, it's still a state issue and Judge Lazzara in Tampa never sees the letters or hears about the phone calls.
We have to urge everyone we know to contact Jeb Bush to hold a special session. I think Jeb's waiting to see if the Federal Judge accepts-approves of Terri's attorney's amended memorandum that he ordered last week. J. Lazzara has stated he isn't sure he has jurisdiction. Did that help?
