Istead of giving Israel support in its war on terrorism, the US government continues to support the Palestinian Authority terrorist regime, which is now without the "leader without terror" (yeah right) terrorist Abu Mazen/Mahmood Abbas which the US gave close to a half a billion dollars in the last few months. Now Arafat is officially in charge (he has always been) and the white house continues to support the suicidal roadmap which has already cost 70 Israeli and American lives.

Abbas .....which the US gave close to a half a billion dollars in the last few months. Yeah, but at least that (American taxpayer) money went to humanitarian efforts, helping to build schools, hospitals, etc. </ sarcasm>

    Per Haaretz:
Hamas leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin says `Israeli people will pay a dear price` for attempt on his life [ed. - Really? I thought you were just a "political" leader, as you claim to be]

Security Alert Nationwide Hamas Retaliation Expected
 23:02 Sep 06, '03 / 9 Elul 5763
(IsraelNN.com) Following Israels failed assassination of Hamas leader Sheik Ahmed Yassin and other terrorist officials who were present with him, security forces have stepped up the level of the ongoing anti-terror alert, expecting Hamas to attempt to retaliate for the latest counter-terrorism offensive.
The shifting to a level III alert, the next to the highest, will result in security spot-checks and impromptu road blocks around the country during the night, increased security on public buses and public places such as shopping malls, and other measures.

Sharon appears to have drawn up his own "roadmap" recently, which only has one plan: utterly destroy Hamas.
My kinda roadmap. We'll see if he sticks with it.

Well sure. Some of which went to these efforts. Schools which teach kids how to committ murder, school which teach arab children hate and anti-Semitism. And also you have the hospitals, which heal and house those terrorists which Israel injures.

This is just a public relations ploy. The Bush administration knows full well that the "roadmap" is essentially dead in the water at this point.

In the past month, 14 terrorists have been killed by the IDF.
What we need is a "roadmap" which also strikes at the Palestinian Authority, in addition to the rest of the terror organizations. The PA provides cover for these terror activities, sponsors them, and funds them.

And also you have the hospitals, which heal and house those terrorists And don't forget the weapons-transporting ambulances. Our tax dollars have bought plenty of those. ....along with the weapons themselves, of course.

I'm a big fan of the Elon plan, but it'll be one helluva trick getting Jordan to sign on to it. It's going to take a massive incentive, probably including tens of billions of U.S. tax dolloars.

Condi will be issuing her statement that Sharon needs to back off of putting so much pressure on the Palestinian Hamas and negotiate with Arafat (and/or his representatives) so the peace process can move forward. Condi will blame Sharon.....again.

If the Bush Administration stoops to rehabilitating Arafat and legitimizing Hamas it will lose all credibility and very possibly the 2004 election and will deserve to do so.
To: Honestfreedom
The Bush administration is already legitimizing the Palestinian Authority terrorist regime, allowing its offices to remain open in DC and giving it close to a half a billion dollars.

    oh pleeeesssseeee

if this is so.. then the WH already knows it was taken to the cleaners by arafat. but this admin. which will pay a serious price in credibility for the road disaster will only fall in line after plenty of others whose plans for Israel dont concur with the plans the real boss has in store. once again, like with the WMD argument, bush could blame powell and the state dept and then clean house to save himself but there is no one there to tell him how to do it. any WH assertions that their tampering will continue is shallow and meaningless but not for face saving purposes. if bush had advisors they would by telling him that this was a warning about what may happen in iraq. that is trusting the arabs to do his bidding. but again he isnt alone. he follows, rabin, peres, bibi, sarid, beilen (sharon maybe) and all the "state dept jew boys" who are modern thinkers, trying to create a peaceful middle east by giving guns to arabs.
