There is another one which doesn't involve race but is near 100% predictable.

If a character is shown as a hunter or shooter, for instance shooting a rifle at a benchrest, or with trophy heads on his wall, you can be absolutely certain he will be portrayed as a villain.

Mrs. Yehuda (from Holland) notes that almost every rich evil family on the show has a Dutch name!

And we call them all "L&O, ELEVATOR INSPECTORS UNIT" (some Freeper made it up...).

There is one oddity I have noticed on TV. Anytime there is a team of two announcers/reporters etc. There is nearly always the same combination. It will be a Black man and a White woman.

Clearly AA at work. Thanks for pointing that out. I'll have to start keeping score.

I suppose part of it is to have some type of balance but it would seem that since Blacks make up about 10-12% of the population that it would be unlikely that you would get black/white combinations perhaps 80% of the time and something like 95% of that being Black male/White female.

Clearly someone is doing this on purpose.

Clearly. And note the composition of the extras -- the actors passing by or standing around in the background. It's generally over 90% female/minority.

I believe you're right. I'll have to keep tabs on that set-up, too.
