Good morning, scubachick - I missed your welcome party Labor Day weekend and wanted to welcome you to the Finest today. Hope you'll enjoy hanging out with us, and I look forward to 'talking' with you. Want you to know how much we all appreciate your husband's service to our great country.

Good morning, Mama_Bear. Top notch presentation and a *sensible* use of colors (unlike that disaster last week). :-) LOL. Purple and green? Well, I guess, if you say so.
I love these archaic state laws! They just crack me up.
It is illegal to use a lasso to catch a fish.
Well, I'd say it's just plain stupid,....... but if one were able to do it, I'd think they would deserve a trophy, or something. LOL!
Illegal for a woman to drive a car unless there is a man either running or walking in front of it waving a red flag to warn approaching motorists and pedestrians.
This is one of my favorites. Too funny!
Thanks, TTM, for the laughs today.

But you didn't include one of these bad boys...Tennessee Walking Horse
Thought I'd get ya before T-Man does. LOL
I absolutely disagree! Mama_Bear was correct in excluding the TWH. Some people are just so critical. :-)
Also, there were far more glaring oversights. I mean how could you do a Tennessee thread and not include a detailed examination on the life of former President James K. Polk?
To: lonestar
Just remember if there wasn't a Tennessee there might not be a Texas

Also, there were far more glaring oversights. I mean how could you do a Tennessee thread and not include a detailed examination on the life of former President James K. Polk? Pray tell, why?? Just because he served in the Tennessee legislature and went on to become Governor, and then, as a Representative in Congress, became Speaker of the House....... and then went on to become President? Heck, he was born in North Carolina. I was going to do my "detailed examination" of him when I got to NC. SHEESH! LOL!
Oh, okay.....here you go....
James K. Polk...
A famous person in Tennessee history. ;-)
