Project 21 and the Coalition for a Fair Judiciary will hold a rally in front of the offices for People for the American Way, located at 2000 M Street, NW in Washington DC on Monday, September 8th at 10:00 AM EST to protest the appalling and unfair treatment of Miguel Estrada during his nomination to the DC Circuit Court of Appeals. Miguel Estrada was the first Hispanic nominated to the DC Circuit Court and was rated unanimously well qualified by the American Bar Association. Members of the coalition will meet at 9:30 am at Longfellow and Witherspoon Parks located at the corners of 18th Conn. Aves and M Street.
At 10:00am we will marry on the headquarters of People for the American Way. We will also be deliveing a letter to Ralph Neas informing him he is not a 101 Senator and he does not speak for America and all Americans.

What really makes me sick is how Bush has spent so much time and capital on the stupid Saudi-created "Roadmap" which was doomed to failure, and he has spent NO TIME WHATSOEVER FIGHTING FOR THESE NOMINEES. What a waste of high approval ratings to fight for Abu Mazen over Miguel Estrada. I didn't sign on for this nonsense.I signed off when President Bush began proving the liberals right about his intelligence by signing Campaign Finance Deform. I'm voting third-party next year, like I shoulda done in 2000!

Who will you vote for? Dean, Kerry, Sharpton, or perhaps President Hillary Clinton is more to your liking.

I can tell you why.
Conservatives have never been one to push hard for court appointees. Why? Because they are most effective in legislative and executive powers. The left control the courts and the right know it. The right also know that it is their constituents that can afford "justice" more than the lefties.
With the right, they execute legislative and executive power better than the left and they have the money to fight in court. So, the judiciary is the least of their worries. Heck, the right are more concerned with swing voters than they are gaining any foothold in the judiciary.

Don't be a twit. I'll probably vote for someone like Howard Philips, Harry Browne, or Pat Buchanan. Hafta see what the Constitution and Libertarian parties have to offer. Now off my case, Bush-bot!

Geez, not many Kool-Aid drinkers on this thread. Perhaps, we can begin to hope that Bush operatives will notice the need to shore up the base?

Look, we all know President Bush is not a true conservative (whatever that means these days). I don't like some of his moves either but he's by far the best choice we have, especially as Commander-in-Chief. I will always believe that he is God's choice for this time in our history, regardless of his stand on certain things. Perfection? No, calling and anointing, yes.

You are absolutely correct. The blame goes to the limp-wristed RINO's in the Senate. They have failed to force the hand of the Dumbocrats.
Have they grown lazy, or have they conspired with the Socialists, er. Democrats? Why haven't they forced the Dums to conduct a true filibuster? Is getting home in time for a dinner party more important than affairs of state. The leadership should keep the Senate in session 24/7 until they can force a vote on these judicial and other appointees.
That is the only way to fight a filibuster. Then they can point to the Dums and rightfully blame them for obstructing the busines of government.

We'll know later this year if Bush is serious.
If he goes ahead and uses recess appointments to evade the Senate, I'll get over this matter.
But if he lets the Dims win, I'm going to assume we'll never get any more Scalia's or Thomas's on the Supreme Court. Now if we can't even get those who would make good justices on lower but important courst, like the appellate courts.
We'll know yet this year if Bush is serious about the courts or not.
To: Marysecretary
We'll see.
